So I am completely running out of room in my fridge for my beer. How much will if affect the taste if I take some out of the fridge and keep them room temperature?

    It will be fine.
Another solution is to drink it faster

Style and time that you plan to keep them out of the fridge are big factors. That being said, for almost anything but fresh hopped stuff, they're fine out of the fridge for a good while. What kind of beers we talking about?

It will depend on the style and length of time you're talking about, overall. But in the short run your best solution may just be to prioritize what stays in, what gets moved, and what gets consumed.

Do you happen to have any rooms or closets cooler than the rest (like in an unheated part of the basement or something)? If yes, then the cooler the better for non-refrigerated beers.

You're buying to much beer bro... They're are releases everyday and you don't have to buy everything

Depends on the style. Storing hoppy beers doesn’t work so well whether they’re warm or cold, but cold is always better. I drank down and eliminated my beer closet because it was a pointless endeavor to a point. Aging Stouts and stuff are fine depending on what it is, if there’s adjuncts involved it can be iffy. Right now I buy what’ll I’ll drink in a week or so, no more.

It depends a lot on what you're calling "room temperature". I have a section of my basement under my front porch that this time of year is probably 40-something degrees. That's obviously fine. Even in the summer, I doubt it gets above 60 degrees, which is probably OK for most beers. What you DON'T want to do is keep them in a kitchen cabinet in the summertime.

I also think (but am admittedly not sure) that pretty much anything will be OK warming up once and then cooling down -- what you don't want to do is keep going back and forth from warm to cold and vice-versa.

Truth right there, buy what you’ll drink in a reasonable amount of time. There’s always more.

It just got to be a hassle when your pulling beers out and they kinda suck a bit because they’re old, or the odd beer that got lost in the shuffle found a year later. I gave up the storage game, it wasn’t worth the money vs the loss in quality.

Overflow is very dangerous. The safest thing to do would be to send all overflow to me ASAP.:stuck_out_tongue:
    I envy your storage problem.
Edit: Of course, you removed all that unnecessary food.

OP, have you considered purchasing a larger fridge or a second fridge? Shoot, how about both?

OP how much beer are we talking about and why are you buying more LOL, drink up your stash first. Seriously though, you can move your stouts and other heavy stuff out without any harm. I would keep my IPAs and such cold. Another idea that is not very costly is to run over and get some bags of ice (Presuming you have a cooler) and toss your overflow into that. Then you have more room and its still cold. Cheers and start drinking for goodness sake.

As has been discussed above, are there any cool places you can store your beer? For example a basement or crawlspace?

    Cheers!

Unless your "room temp" is blistering hot, or the room has an excessive amount of bright light, you'll be fine for a bit.

I had your problem until I decided to make a change. I purchased a mini wine fridge for storing vertical bottles - this is where I keep all of my stouts and sours only, no exceptions. I keep all of my IPA cans in the main fridge, contained to one section, no exceptions. I also now follow the mindset of not having FOMO on the new, "flavor of the week" IPAs. I no longer have constant beer storage problems!

Short term (weeks) shouldn't raise any issues. I have the opposite problem, my fridge keeps growing empty no matter how diligent I try to keep it full.

I already have a beer fridge, which is full, and I have a bunch of stouts that I'd like to move out of my regular fridge. Stouts should be ok, right? I don't have any place to store them that isn't room temperature.

Avoid direct sunlight exposure at all costs, then, as others have replied, expect darker beers to generally "age" (I'd probably include many lager/pilsner stylings) or keep better at normal room temperature, but definitely keep your IPAs and fresh hop beers as cool as possible and consume fairly quickly.

Realistically unless you plan to age those specific beers then of course drink them. Another option is to invite some friends over for a tasting. If your friends are like mine the surplus will be rapidly depleted.
