Got to give them credit where it's due - they've actually been posting pictures of their beers on Instagram.

So long are the days of trivia night and pizza posts

if a brewery like YT makes shitty beer, i believe that is what threads like this are for.
I use it to know what is good and what is bad. Also since when is giving a positive or negative opinion bad?

Even more- if someone from YT has the time to read the thread, why not make an appearance on the thread and start a discussion?

Transparency is a word that is tossed around often in the business world, and as they are running a business and apparently asking for things to be removed,..why not come on and make some comments and discuss?

fwiw, on numerous occasions I have seen @I_can_smell_the_hops point out something that YTB does or doesn't do and links their IG post to the BA thread. Even on pretty old IG posts, many were deleted within 24hrs of his mention of it on this site. there is no doubt they lurk here

Playing devils advocate here since I haven’t had their beer, but have we really given them a reason to come and openly discuss? From the posts I’ve seen that have now been deleted, I wouldn’t classify them as constructive criticism. There’s a difference between saying you didn’t like a beer for reasons x,y,z vs just piling on saying how terrible it is.

I mean it’s been the running joke to tell Kane winners to make a stop here.

If we want to get actual discussion going ala Augie, maybe we could start giving the same respect?

(And no, I’m not a YT plant)

Pretty sure constructive criticism was initially the case when they opened when people expressed issues with their beers, only to be dismissed and told they were wrong and everything was as intended. Didn’t really put a great first impression out there for the community.

If I may share my review of Ox & Goat

Then there was the Ox & Goat Pale. This is the beer that I came closest to finishing I had a hard figuring out what the unpleasant flavor was. It was a combination of spoiled fruit and feet. I believe the beer may have been infused with wet Goat and oxen.

Ava's in Kenilworth now has 2 of their beers, the track 5 stout, and 161 main IPA. I did not opt for either when having dinner last night but I was kind of tempted to get a 5oz pour to write a new review in this thread. Maybe next time.

At long last I have made it to Yale Terrace. I’ll have to say it’s living up to it’s hype. The first beer I drank wasa 7.2 IPA called Vermont IPA. It was thin, watery, lacking in both aroma and hops. The second was a 12.5 English Strong Ale. It was also watery and lacking aroma and flavor. I guess it’s always better to know things 1st hand so this was time well wasted.

Sounds like you should be the first to give them some proper reviews vs. just posting in this thread which will be missed by many.

Not a bad idea but I don't review beers. Not sure why but I'll think about.

I added my written notes from my tasters as part of a flight on 12/17/17. I specifically noted the serving portion and date in my comments since it was over a year ago.

Can’t possibly imagine this being helpful to anyone seeing as how the brewery has been open for at least a year and no one has bothered to add any beers to the database until I did in January of 2019, and no one has bothered to review them until now.

Based on views of this and the previously deleted thread, this forum is probably the best place for people to share their opinions for the most number of views.

I'm back after a 7 day ban. Thanks @Todd for reminding me to rate the beer I had, which I just did. I had rated it at the time of consumption on Untappd. Unfortunately for YTB they did not get a good review from me but that shouldn't be news to anyone on this thread.
