Hopefully these offerings are successful in the tasting rooms so they get canned/bottled eventually. I fell back in love with traditional styles when my wife and I visited Germany in December and have been seeking out more of these styles as of late.

So what is the difference between Melange Noir and Melange #3?

M3 has White Oak Sap, MN has Mash. Both have BT & Ani. Not sure how ratios differ.

I’m just gonna say it... Red Wine Black Tuesday is the best variant of Black Tuesday I’ve ever had! It’s what Port Black Tuesday wanted to be!!!

Hmmmm, Favorite Black Tuesday variants? Sounds like fun, I'll play.

    1. Black Tuesday Marzipan
2A. TIE: Black Tuesday MGPI Single Barrel
2B: TIE: Black Tuesday Pistachio and Vanilla
    3. Black Tuesday Monstra Coffee
    4. Black Tuesday Reserve

Thought Black Tuesday Red Wine was very good and agree it was better the port.

    2 (tie). MGPI Single Barrel
    2 (tie). Pistachio Vanilla
    2 (tie). Marzipan
    3. Madeira BT (2014)
    4. BT Reserve
    5. Red Wine BT

Interesting that you would call out BT Port (2014). I went back and checked and I did rate that one as excellent too. More recent versions, I rated much lower, which brought down its overall score for me.

But I do agree, 2014 was a good year for BT Port.

I think I'm also in the minority of people who really, really liked Rum BT. All those 2014 treatments were stellar. Rum is probably right below Red Wine BT on that list. Single best BT drinking experience? I had a bottle of 2013 BT in 2017 during a full vert, and that bottle stood out as head and shoulders above the rest.

Per the email just now, interesting that allocations are being refreshed next week... looks like (at least some) folks can get a little more Wee Heavy after all!

They're still clearly stating "first come, first served" but I wonder if that's more of a messaging thing than an actual change in protocol. It doesn't look like the Wee Heavy cans actually sold out, as many feared with such a small allocation. The membership fine print has always said that no beer is ever truly "guaranteed" so it could just be that they're trying to me more careful about inaccurately implying that (which I think ultimately is prudent).

Also in that email... look at the teaser for new beers!!! Holy cow that's a lot of cans! And boy oh boy am I excited for Apfelsap.

Icky Thump, Birdie Birdie, and Hold the Spoon I can't zoom in enough to see - any indications what they are?

I love that the brewery that lost their momentum because they refused to get away from 750s is now just full-blown "CAN EVERYTHING!"

I think Icky Thump is a Imperial Coffee Stout Colman with Mikerphone Brewing in Illinois. Mikerphone released their version so you can find it on Untappd.

I picked up a couple of bottles of Icky Thump a couple of months ago mainly because it was brewed with Portola Coffee one of my favorite brewers.

Haven't tried it yet, but maybe I'll crack a bottle this weekend..

would it be the exact same bottles released or a Bruery variation?

Today's emails showed Bruery produced cans called Icky Thump, however resolution too small to confirm ingredients.

It will be a Bruery variation. It may be the same recipe, but it’s brewed in their shop, so it will be slightly different.
