Dark Lord Day (2019)

I was just thinking the other day how dead this thread has been. No rumor mill, no forecast updates, ... nothing.

 

They lost a lot of interest when they announced all the Dark Lord variants would be hazy...

 

Then lets get this thing rolling.

What bands would you like to see?
I personally would love to see INFERI, who have May 19 open on their tour schedule by the way. Rivers of Nihil would also be awesome to see, plus they aren't touring on that date either (although they're in New Zealand on the 15th FWIW). * Insert Dragon Abortion joke

Variants?
I'd love to see Lounge return - it was easily my favorite variant last year, and I'm glad it was in my bag. Another apple brandy variant on the list is up there for me, and maybe they give Turtledogg another shot?

 

Dude.... no. I mean, I know it's Croush's favorite variant and he'd love to see another in his bag but the rest of us shouldn't have to suffer.

 

Inferi would be soooo incredibly sick. Pretty much anything tech death would be amazing.

I personally haven't had a Scotch BA stout that I could stand for more than a few sips. I'm with you, but I could honestly see FFF rolling it out again

Even the portion of the tree that used to be just Black Metal and Death Metal has morphed into WAY too many sub-genres if you ask me. To be fair though, I've been on a huge Melodeath kick lately

Like all other great lakes brewery threads let's talk about what's important here! Food! the burgers what kind of cheese options will there be? DL variant sauces? Are the samosas authentic?! I need to know!

@Quilentro let me translate for you. Matt Pike, lead singer/guitar player for High on Fire, is (was/is again?) also a founding member of Sleep. However, they are quite different bands. Did not hear about them winning a Grammy though. That's pretty cool. Ever since the Metallica Vs. Jethro Tull debacle of 1989 I have not taken the Grammys seriously.

EDIT - I have never really taken the Grammys seriously.
