Trade Value Thread (2019)

I've done a 17 and 18 Reserve for a Canuckley and Kentuckley. And a Prop 18 for a Kentuckley.

Am I going crazy or is the completed trades thread not keeping older completed trades? I feel like there were more a few months ago. Are people who started the thread deleting them?

 

There is an ‘older threads’ link at the bottom of the last viewable/default page, which opens it up to older threads.

I don’t like that I have to do that to find older beers, and especially since older beers I search for through search function don’t appear in the results.

 

I see it now. Thank you. That seems like a DUMBBBB "feature". I was trying to find what Backyard Rye has gone for and knew people have traded for it.

 

Do BA henna Swirl & Double Rainbow trade higher than Vanilla Caviar? I'm trying to land either a Coco Vibes b2, Breakfast Nook or Freedom Toast (figuring all 3 are around the same value). I've been trying with a plus like Perm 57, but wondering if I need to swap the Caviar with the Swirl or DR.

 

Does normal Blantons have any trade value? I normally only see Gold or SFTB in people’s ISO’s

Yes, in many places around the country Blanton’s is quite limited and hard to acquire. Well, at least hard to acquire without a significant markup. Around me (SF Bay Area), I know of several grocery stores that often carry it, so there’s no real value in trading it to someone from the Bay Area. But for people in different regions I’m sure there’s a demand. At the end of the day, you’re not gonna be pulling in Lou Pepes with a bottle of Blanton’s but I bet you can still get some solid beers.

 

Out of the 3 BA Hennas you mention, BA Double Rainbow trades for more than the other 2. After initial release, the Swirl traded for more than Vanilla Caviar definitely but now I get the impression they are much closer to one another.

 

I'm pretty in the dark when it comes to Belgian beer trade values and was wondering if I could get some feedback on this trade:

Him --> Me: Cantillon Fou Foune '18

Me --> Him: OEC Oudilis Cerasus Huckleberry Mag (1.5L)


Should I add? Should he add? Or does everything seem relatively balanced?

What's the market on recent Flagler? They are a brewery that I have not tried and I hear reviews all over the place. I'm looking at BA Ancho Luchador and Chocolate Love. Are these in the realm of standard Bottle Logic? Think JTR, Space Trace, FOb4, PCC?

 

I was able to pick up 2 Side Project Oude Du Blé vintage 2017's last week and I was wondering what the trade value would be? Not really interested in $4$. I enjoy BA beers.

Well, it has been available to-go for over a week now, so I don’t know why it wouldn’t go $4$.

 

I mean im not worrried about getting an even trade on $. Sorry I am really new to trading.

You should be able to pull some pretty good beers with odb. You say you’re interested in BA beers... it would help if you gave more specifics. Stouts, Barleywine, Sours, etc. Do you have specific beers you’ve wanted to try? List a few... This thread will give you solid feedback if you’re close or not.

Thank you! Right now I am just interested in stouts. Nothing specific, just probably nothing regional to STL (A lot of the BA Stouts ive seen on here from STL are out of my reach right now anyway). That may not be too helpful I realize...there are so many names on here and they all sound amazing.

 

You should go stand in line for said releases. If i had the chance to camp out for a side project BA stout and i lived in missouri i would in a heart beat. People here are standing in lines twice as long for 3 chiefs hit and miss releases.

 

Agreed. You live in the holy land, no need to trade with the stouts you have at your fingertips.

I think you could probably pull some recent BA Bottle Logic stouts with the right set of eyes. Everyone and their mother has the latest batch of Fundamental Observation (FOb4) and Jam the Radar (JTR) just released so those are both good bets. Both are good bang for your buck for entry level trading. Have fun!

 

I’d love to go to a release! I missed the BA Coconut Vibes, but next time I’ll be there.

I’ve actually been really wanting to try some Bottle Logic! Would you say 1:1 or would I need some +? I’m close to Narrow Guage so some fresh hops could be added.
