I agree, I thought the Victory space was pretty much up to capacity but now that I hear it's not I guess why not use it for Sixpoint. Sixpoint has pretty much stopped it's contract brewing, correct? I remember years ago with them and The Lion, not the best of times.

Grabbed Dabble (w ID7, Cashmere, & Sabro) for $11+tax a six pack of 12oz, damn good for $2 a can.

No, Sixpoint is still contract brewing their packaged (canned) beers at City Brewing in Memphis, TN. They switched from The Lion to City Brewing a few years ago.

They do produce some specialty beers at their small brewery in Brooklyn (Red Hook) that you can order using an App and then pick up at a location in Brooklyn.

    Cheers!

@Kadonny, I'll admit to speaking with more confidence than my knowledge contains. I just can't imagine a scenario where Sixpoint's production isn't brought under Victory or Southern Tier's collective roofs as it seems fiscally irresponsible to continue contract brewing if there is space within the company.

No doubt, if there is production room and they have been contract brewing all this time, it makes perfect sense to brew at Victory.

Correct Jack that brewing of Sixpoint beers currently contracted brewed at City Brewing in Memphis will end and begin at Victory's main production facility probably starting in April 2019 when the current contract ends. Alplenflo will probably be brewed there and could be fermented in one of the 1,000 bbl fermenters.

Yes we're going to be brewing at Victory. Eric and I and a few others have been flavor matching the beers over the past few months and adjusting for new water and tank geometry amongst other things. Currently just getting Resin over the finish line. The other core beers are set. Gonna be awesome... in my opinion those three beers have all improved. We'll have better shelf life and consistency as well and the brewers at Victory rock.

We'll also have more tank sizes to work with, which will allow for regional releases of crazy stuff. Looks like there's no fire emoji on BA but I would put a lot of them here if I could.

I really want to get back into the release swing but I hateeeee Idaho 7 hops. They’ve become huge lately so I get why they are being used but I’d hate to buy a bunch of beer that I couldn’t stand.

I’ll wait for April’s release. Weather should be nicer then too!

Thanks for being upfront and open about contract brewing, a topic that in the past was avoided as much as possible.

Doesn't surprise me, as I assume having been to Victory a few times, that must be one epic, top of the line brewhouse, no? Not to mention the packaging lines, in terms of O2 mitigation and such. Look forward to the Victory-brewed Sixpoint beers!

The Idaho 7 contribution should represent about 30% of the aroma/flavor in Atomic, and a little less in Shatter. Totally get if you don't want to take the risk though!

There is just something about the hop that I can’t stand. I’ve brewed with it numerous times in different quantities and had many local IPAs with it and just cant get passed it. I love your beers but I’ll save my $ to buy extra for next months release!
