They should go back to brewing ESB like they started with, all late kettle additions and fancy Australian hops are a crutch.

Not that surprising tbh, I was interested in it but its definitely one of those beers I wouldn't consider buying without trying beforehand since its got a good chance of being a trainwreck.

Does that mean it isn't true about lactose? Not sure what you mean

I think his point is that (regardless of whether or not there is any merit to it) people are always going to complain about change.

People who like OG haze are resistant to tose/oats
People who grew up with WCIPAs were resistant to haze before that
People who grew up on stronger "American" IPAs were resistant to super bitter WC IPAS prior to that
People who grew up on 4% cask English IPAs were resistant to stronger American IPAs before that

Etc etc for ever and ever, amen. The new school people who are spoiling beer quickly become the reactionaries when the next new thing comes along

It really is amazing what a week up in VT will make you realize. Much of Other Half's current offerings are beyond sweet compared the IPAs of the NE Kingdom.

respectfully disagree but it's just beer so I don't want to write up a novel about my opinion, which no one cares about. happy friday to all of you. I'm heading to OH later, come talk to me if you see a long haired dweeb in a red and blue flannel

Nah DDH Space Diamonds all day over Double Galaxy. HF's lagers and Saisons are probably better than anything OH brews though but that's apples to oranges.

I do love ddh space diamonds but I will say I had a fresh can of haze last week or the week b4 and it was amazing. Better than all the daydream stuff IMO forgot how good Haze was

Yeah, mostly what @rozzom said. Obviously we can disagree, but I think the non lactose beers are great and the lactose beers are great. The language is eerily similar.

+1 to DDH Space Diamonds over Double Galaxy.

Tree House is still mostly fine, but Other Half is so much better since TH scaled production. Once every few months I forget this and swing by. It seems like there's usually one great beer and the rest is sad. I think Grimm is producing similar but better than Tree House. With that said, Tree House cans are still my favorite. Stickers are for chumps.

Parking warnings might be the best thing about craft beer sale posts.

Double Galaxy > DDH Space Diamonds. Hell, I feel like they aren't even in the same league. Double Galaxy is one of the best beers I've had over the last year or two. Space Diamonds is unbalanced and way too harsh/dry on the backend. I feel like HF is full of orange peel and pineapple. While Space Diamonds goes from Pineapple to chalk. I have a really sucky palette to be honest and don't pick up nuances, but, it was such a stark contrast.

I would say that DDH Space Daydream is one of OH's best beers and takes away that harshness I was complaining about. IMO, t's their best Lactose beer.
