Starting tonight with my first ever Java Stout. Solid brew.

 

Avery Jubilation right now.. it just hit the area.. I'm thinking FFF Dreadnaught next while it's fresh..

 

What a riff and beer.

 

Great beer. I used to drink it by the case back when it was 10.99 a six pack. Then they jacked the price up five dollars one year, and I've only bought a couple six packs since.

 

I have seen this beer so many times, and always want to try it and never do...not sure why.

 

Yeah, you're right. It hit WLV and I believe Binny's South Loop today. Castle Vav I believe only received theirs for FwB. Binny's Naperville (4 minutes from work) and Orland Park have started carrying Pipeworks and they'll be receiving it next week. I'm quite happy that I no longer have to drive 40 miles each way to get Pipeworks.

2012 So Fresh & So Green Green

 

Odell's, 5 Barrel Pale Ale.

 

Picked this one up on a whim yesterday. Its a 9% scotch ale brewed with coriander. I'm a little confused - letting it warm up a bit...cheers.

I liked this one so much last night, I just had to go back for a bunch more today.

Smoked black saison, dudes! It's either gonna be awesome or terrible, and I think they just nailed this beer in every respect- like a nine pound hammer on a 20 penny nail. Wham! The dryness/mouthfeel are just perfect, and the flavors are soooo balanced. I just may go through a whole lot of this stuff. Cheers!

 

Most of the pulp has been cleared from the keg and the beer is starting to carb!

Man this Avery Old Jubilation is really drinking good.. I'm enjoying it now more than ever.. just saying..

 

This hits the spot. It was canned a year ago today. It's very tasty fresh, but quite awesome with a year of age on it. It has some good mild sweetness going on with some nice roastiness. Now I'm wondering about that can from 2009.
