    Does anyone know if Notch sells kegs directly? Guessing no, and I'd have to go through a distributor, but would do many things for a keg of The Standard.

    I haven't been shy about my dislike for Boston Lager. Admittedly, I have never tried a fresh one. I really dislike the caramel, malt character of it, but admittedly have never searched for a recent release...

    I had it on draft (well I tried some of my brother's draft) back in December and thought it was wonderful.

    Unfortunately the Raw Power was a rare miss for me though.

    The caramel malt backbone will still be there, and will be prominent. But the fresh hit of Noble hops really changes the beer in my opinion, and provides much more balance. Probably tough to find Boston Lager super fresh though.

    Goddammit.

    Helles Spezial is legit by the way. Didn't have the IPA, that was sold out. I also didn't care all that much as I like a Helles more than an IPA.

    Anyone know of any MetroWest places that have the helles? Only place I saw advertise it was CBC Westford and they were out as of Monday -- still had the IPA though, which I found surprising.

    Yup. Along with this, I also brought a four pack of Voll Projekt's IPA to a party as a gift (didn't have it unfortunately, but I think I had it on draft in December at the brewery).

    Grabbed a fair amount of Cerne Pivo before that, and The Standard before that.

    I also plan on grabbing a couple four packs of The Standard this week if I see it. It's rare I buy full four packs (I'm big into mix a six's), and it's even more rare I buy two four packs of something.

    Notch is getting a lot of my money these days.
