What's wrong with it? (Not that I have any skin in the game.. don't know the beer or the brewery, but curious about your reaction.)

Another fine batch of this flagship from Other Half. With all their 8-10% lactose-laced DIPAs, you forget that they can turn out a beautifully balanced, 7.4% sipper. Very satisfying.

 

This just in "Local man attempts to finish a six pack of Bigfoot on a weeknight". We shall see if this ends in disaster.

 

This work trip I’ve gone from sweating to freezing my butt off.

Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA - haven’t had this in a long time. Pretty good.

 

Stopped in Greenville SC on the way back from VA last night and picked up a few beers. The wife wanted Jason’s Deli and just so happen there was a liquor store beside it. What can I say? That’s fate.

Grabbed a four pack of this one based on @Greywulfken review! Sold! Nicely done IPA, a little sweet in the tooth but the bitterness brings it back in.

Imperial strawberry milk stout. This was excellent. Great rocky head retention/soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, coffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, char bitterness; and berry tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, silky, bready, grainy malts; some sticky hops, chalky roast, and fruit tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. No cloying, minimal acrid/astringency. Very smooth, mild increasing warmth of 10.6%. Awesome balance of nicely jammy berries, malts, Belgian chocolate, and lactose; with good earthy hop presence. Mild lingering sweetness with lingering biter dryness. A little too bitter/drying than expected, but still impressive for what it was. 4

I'm pretty ambivalent about this beer. It's not bad, just nothing special.



Strange tune, really was more of an excuse to mess with my wah pedal. Not sure what genre it would fall into, I think it would be more of a blues.
