You beat me to it, I just started a new thread. I'll delete it and we can continue on here

Just finished a week of a brutal internship. Been biking by my favorite bar to and from the shop everyday and been dreaming of getting a beer at the end of the week for days.

Revelation from Dark Star, a 5.7% ABV pale ale served on cask. I know nothing about the brewery but they always have great beers on cask here so you can pretty much order whatever and be confident you'll get a good beer. It's all hops with this one and a perfect starter beer to start the weekend. Almost finished it writing this post, it just goes down so easy. Cheers to the weekend everyone! May it bring you tons of great beers.

Swiftly on to the second beer of the day. As said the first one went down way to easy.

Fig Job from St. Austell, a 4.8% ABV fig infused red ale. It's good but it's also kind of weird. Maybe the figs are a bit too much. But I've had a long week and any beer will do just fine right now so I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Still on cask by the way. Cask beer is really the best reason to visit Charlie's.

Happy Friday ba. Up and at it with another go at this. Fork and Beans, stout w/coffee, from Greenport Harbor. It uses a maple butterfinger flavored coffee from one of the locals here. Adds a sweet candied toffee flavor. Nicely coffee forward but a little thin on the body. Gots some age on her and it was about all that was worth grabbing at the brewery yesterday.

My last bottle of this on hand here ba. Aggressive and booze with tones of resin, citrus, and candied fruit. Still drinking decently despite its age,

Deep ruby red color with lasting cap and lacing.

Dark roasted malt aroma underpinned by sweet chocolate.

Taste on entry is dark roasted malt that from mid palate on carries a sweet milk chocolate under taste that evenly balances the dark, coffeeish malt. These flavors complement each other and level things out. The raspberry element mentioned on the label is in the background and there is just enough to notice.

Having an Icelandic Doppelbock from Einstock Olgerd. I don't have the characters available to properly spell the brewery's name, so this is as close as I can get with our alphabet. It's sweet & malty. Full of chocolate & caramel. Nose is a great deal sweeter than the taste. Mouthfeel is coating and it feels stronger than the advertised 6.7%.

Light gold colored body; mildly cloudy, thick, foamy head; a few flecks of foam sticking to the glass. Very fruity and floral aroma; orange and lemon; freshly cut fragrant flowers. Nicely balanced flavors with a nod towards the hops; juicy; grapefruit; very light malt base; nice bitterness rounding things out. Medium-heavy body; juicy yet leaning towards a dry feel overall.

A very fine, well-rounded American IPA, balanced and fragrant with respectable depth and complexity.
