    His hugs are rusty on purpose. It’s no coincidence his family’s crest bears the image of a bearcub awkwardly hugging tetanus shot syringes with the motto “lock horns and be lock-jawed.”

    And, keeping with this newly established and clearly awesome Game of Thrones thread theme, I promise a new Dark Lord day rule that you can steal whatever bottle from the person nearest to you as long as you can drink it all at once. I will be wearing battle armor covered in bottles of Black Tuesday.

    Kentucky Straight Bourbon must be aged a minimum of 2 years. Bourbon can be any age.

    I'm always skeptical when a brewery starts distilling their own stuff. The bourbon market is especially full of great options in the $10-100 range, so it'll be tough to stand out on anything but the FFF name (which I understand is enough for plenty of people out there). On the other hand, having their own whiskey will add even more flexibility to their barrel-aging program, so I guess that's a plus.

    Every one keeps talking about whiskey but they could be making some killer gin and rums and barrel aging those as well. And I'm sure as fans of wacky liquors they are fucking with a bunch of weird botanicals too. I fully expect them to be making a version of malort.

    The article mentions whiskey; I'd say more or less what I said about bourbon when it comes to gin, but the article also mentions a liquor based on Dark Lord, which I'd definitely be very interested in. And while I don't get the hype with Malort (it's not that weird, and it's not high enough ABV imo), I'd actually be totally on-board for Dark Ma'lord.
