After my breakfast beer I had some things to do, I even mowed my grass(think weeds). Now it’s time for Neon God from New Anthem out of Wilmington NC.

A surprisingly good East Coast IPA by German brewer Heidenpeters with a strong, malty and resinous character and notes of graperfruit and pineapple. Perhaps a little bit on the sweet and boozy side, but still quite enjoyable. Hard to beat at 2.50€ around here.

Dr. Lupulin from Revision. A big triple ipa, definitely now back in familiar territory.

I don’t think I have had this since summer, tastes a little weird after that last beer.

Drinking a new beer from the monopoly. Pistonhead Haze Lager. 5.1% abv. From Sweden's second largest brewery. It's dry hopped with Galaxy hops.

This is another subbrand under the Pistonhead brand, it's a brand used by one of the Swedish macros to sell pale lager beers with normal abvs (around 5%) dry hopped with American hops. They're quite tasty in my opinion and quite affordable compared with the craft beers. This one has a reasonably pungent smell of hops reminding me of one of a Swedish pale ale. If the label had said Amarillo instead of Galaxy I wouldn't have batted an eye upon smelling and tasting it. So reasonably hoppy aroma which carries over into a reasonably hoppy taste and there's a definite resinous quality to the beer, with some refreshing bitterness and a dry pilsner type body. The malts are pilsner and c10 and the caramel malt doesn't really make itself known, it's more for the body and foam I imagine. The aftertaste is dry. The beer initially poured relatively clear but became more hazy after the second pour. All in all a tasty modern lager beer in my opinion.

Grabbing a little taste here ba before hitting the god damn grocery. Starting w/ a 4 onz pour of 2015 Uncle Jacob, bba imperial stout, from Avery. Smooth and booze as all hell with a sweet and sticky feel. Just gotta take it easy when it’s 16.9%,

Another winner by Heidenpeters, very nice Pale Ale with an intense, hoppy citrus character for the ABV.

I keep putting it off but soon I will have to get off my sorry ass and fill out my taxes. I was told that this year may be easier because of the tax law changes. I hope so because I am not getting any smarter.
