Was just thinking about my wife and how aggressive women can get while shopping. Especially when they see a good deal...

This beer came to mind

    Bell's
    Hell Hath No Fury
    Aged in bourbon barrels
    10.4% abv

    CHEERS

Amazing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, fudge, marshmallow, toasted biscuit, and dark bread; with light notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, leather, herbal, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, woody, spicy hop; and roast, char, coffee bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body. Very creamy, silky, bready malts; light sticky hops and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness. No acrid/astringency. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming 11.9%. Amazing balance of rich malts, fruity/nutty coffee, and PB flavors; with solid earthy hops against sweetness. Spot on for a dessert style imperial stout. Not overly sweet or bitter either way. Nice amount of PB presence for only being a flavoring for the coffee. Hope they make it again.

Good morning, BAs! I called Lush Life “the best beer Tired Hands has brewed in years” last year when I reviewed it. Now drinking the new batch (canned 2/14)...I think the Tired Hands sour @larryi86 and I split on Wednesday was better, but this is still way up there. Not sweet, not at all boozy (despite the 10%+ abv), and full of aggressive hop flavor.

My last @EMH73 beer, one of those beers that I liked more as the glass grew shorter.

A school of floaties seemed to drop out of suspension by the time I got into it. A little malt body and a grassy/lemon-guava white wine like flair before a reedy grass bitterness dries the taste out a bit in the end. Thanks one last time for the chance at Other Half, @EMH73. I think I would go for their brews fairly often if they were local.

Going to my cousin's birthday tonight and is just about to get ready to leave. But there's time for a quick beer first.
The Ceremonial Grainout by my local brewery Amager Bryghus and TRVE Brewing Company, a farmhouse ale at 6% ABV. Haven't had this one in a while. It's a beer for warm summer days but I was just craving something light and crisp today. It's a bit sweet but mostly sour and just really well balanced. One of those beers you can drink any time and easily drink all night without getting tired of it. Just a really well-brewed and delicious beer. Cheers!

Thought about saving this for New Beer Sunday, but I've heard coffee bourbon stouts don't age all that well, so I'd better drink it as soon as possible.

And then this little discovery. Apparently a B-side off the latest album, this is heavy AF compared to Deafheaven's latest couple of albums!
