NBO : SLOPPY SECONDS

Welcome to the first rendition of a New BIF Opportunity called Sloppy Seconds.


This BIF centers around 2 targets at once. Ship 2 boxes and receive 2 boxes. Sloppy Seconds...

The Hints/Hauls should be helter skelter. Some ball busting, camaraderie and an overall good time is what we are after. Hopefully your boxes would land without you knowing where they're coming from ahead of time. Our focus will be smaller but nicer boxes. Think Christmas x2...

The minimum requirements are (per each box). These are designed around small FEDEX/UPS boxes to keep the shipping rates manageable.

100 oz of great beer. Beer should be something you rated highly and/or your target would. For example I would be hesistant to send anything I rated under a 4 on UT. Great shelfies are welcome but please leave the shelf turds on the shelf....

1 of either a brewery garb or a nice glass. A shirt, scarf, or hat will work for garb whereas a snifter, tulip, teku or snulip will work for glassware. I'm sure you get the idea.

1 local food item. It should be something that isn't available to your target. Artisan sauces, jerkies, candies, coffees are all good examples. Spirits are welcome also.

So you will be on the hook for a Total of 200 oz, 2 pieces of brewery garb OR glasses and 2 local food items split between 2 boxes. Depending on participants, you will probably be shipping boxes in 2 different directions.

As for participation, a Haul pic with credit is owed. If your sender sends a blind bottle you should also review/guess it on the thread as well. There will be no forced participation in terms of number of posts but be aware that signing up and remaining radio silent until your boxes land won't fly either. We enjoy the banter as much as the beer thats comes with these BIFs...

This BIF is geared towards veteran BIF'rs but we will welcome new peeps with a minimum of 5 trades and/or sponsorship. If you are new please don't be offended if we ask what you plan on sending.

Time frame. Out of respect for other BIFs and to allow people to think it over the sign up will end April 15th. Targets will be assigned that week and boxes will be due no later than June 14th. The shop/ship window will be ~7-8 weeks. This will give everyone plenty of time to gather supplies.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say the scarf will be better than the beer! So I’d start crocheting away if I were you....
