Other Half (2019)

I would have made a effort at the meet-up if there was a more concrete time posted.

I'm not an ACE uberfan so I wasn't drawn by the siren song of citra. Don't get me wrong ACE is great, but it's no SD or FS.

Also +1 on 5th Anni hitting its stride... fucking killer now, glad I took my time cracking a can a week.

 

Sorry for bailing as well, but I did do event management in a previous job and to be honest, more explicit information was needed beforehand. It wasn't clear who was actually going and what time we were meeting. It takes me an hour to get to Other Half, so it's kind of an investment.

@RobNewton, maybe we should consider eliminating Sunday as a option to reduce choices, besides I think Saturday makes more sense as people would be more willing to go for a can release.

Also, let's set the time to like 10am start, when the tap room opens. I'm sure some people may be interested in making sure they get cans right when Other Half opens and aren't too keen in sticking around for another hour or so if we were to start at, say, 11am or whatever.

 

Been trying to follow what will happen with Other Half (at the brewery specifically) during Pastrytown weekend. I won't have tickets to the festival but am looking to grab 4 packs to go. I'll be in Brooklyn from March 15-17. Any suggestions on the what would be the best day to go to the brewery to pick up beers? As far as I can tell the brewery will be open the entire weekend, is that correct? Thanks for any feedback and apologies if this has already been answered.

 

I was looking for a redhead in a purple treehouse t-shirt around 2pm. Figured you left by then @Feaor but figured I take a look around for the slim chance you're still there.

I got slightly excited when I saw a redhead in a purple t-shirt walking up to me, but then realized it was just a solid purple t-shirt with no treehouse logo on it. I ended up just leaving after that since none of the drafts were worth me standing around a packed taproom for.

What’s your ideal date? Any preferred snacks?

Doing it on a Saturday prob makes sense (presumably people’s choices on the sheet will reflect that). 10am though..... I guess as long as you guys don’t mind hanging out for a few hours and aren’t too sloppy by the time us late joiners turn up.

 

OH with that $2 mule fee. (Dreamwave was $20 a 4 pack at EQ.)

That’s a tough one. I’d have to say April 25. Because it’s not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket.

 

Best days for me are Saturdays between 10-4. I prefer noonish as public transportation would take me close to 2 hrs. Normally I drive to OH but if we’re going to be having a few drinks I’ll error on the side of caution.

Next weekend works for me. So does the first 3 weeks of April.

 

FYI... They're on the last case of the EQ collab.

 

Man I can't catch a break, I get roasted for not showing up last time and I'm getting roasted for not planning as well as I should've.

As an aside, I really am digging Did I Make Myself Clear?, its a nice change of pace from all the juice bombs, would definitely like more but we probably won't see it because it kinda doesn't fit in with the rest of their current canon.

 

Agreed on the west coast IPA. Drank my last can last night. Would love this in the regular rotation.

 

I love it. I think Magic Green Nuggets is a good reference, but this is a good bit lighter.

They hinted at redoing OG Green Diamonds last time they released Hazy GD... But since Did I Make Myself Clear has survived two Saturdays I doubt we get West Coast GD, the people have spoken.

 

slightly off-topic but does anyone know if they're still opening a taproom in DC? haven't heard anything since the announcement 6 months ago.
