How do you know this? Did people confess that they lied, or is this speculation? More so, if you wish to discuss people making judgments without actually having the beer, can you please tell us which beers you have had from Three Chiefs that have formed your opinion?

It was covered in the original Three Chiefs thread.

And for the hundredth time, my issues with Three Chiefs aren't with the beer itself. Good Goddamn Christ, man...

And I'll go on record as saying that my issues are primarily with the beer itself, coupled with some light derision for the snake oil purchasers. I don't know much about Three Chiefs' business practices, but nothing I've read here sounds beyond the pale. "A fool and his money are soon parted," and Three Chiefs seems to be pretty good at helping along that monetary transfer. I look at Three Chiefs much as I look at AB InBev, as a marketing company that happens to be specifically in the business of marketing beer, and the product appeals primarily to people who don't have the palates for the actual good stuff. That AB InBev is a giant multinational company that mostly makes perfectly executed bland beer and relies on market saturation while Three Chiefs is a tiny gypsy outfit that carelessly churns out cloying goop and relies on artificial scarcity is a mere detail. Sure, I'll poke a little fun, but I'm just gently ribbing some folks who present themselves as cutting-edge connoisseurs but really are herd-following poseurs.

Might be the most arrogant and elitist thing I have ever read on this site. Congrats, I guess.

Very few can released beer's are available for growler fills and never on the day of release, the tap option usually is on for a limited time depending on batch size.

    Cheers,

Wonderfully articulated. I don’t think this is a douchey post at all. New money will disagree. Thanks for this comment.

What is old money's style of choice? Brown Ale?

Can you imagine if food fans were as douchey as these folks? Sorry Noma - I won’t eat your food cooked in modern ways - I only eat jello from molds and chicken a la king from a microwave because I am not new money.

Or movie fans? How dare these new money people enjoy their color movies with sound? I, a sophisticated person, only enjoy black and white silent films run at 15 frames per second.

I didn't realize that "cooked in modern ways" meant leaving in tons of sugar and dumping in a bunch of chocolate and vanilla. Three Chiefs seems to me less like Noma and more like Betty Crocker.

apparently "modern ways" is a synonym for "diabeetus ways"

Dude, you didn't just claim Noma to be the analogue to 3 Chiefs.

I don't consider pastry stouts, whether done by 3 Chiefs or Angry Chair, to be elegant by any means. I think the most apt comparison would be Guy Fieri.

I had no idea the fascist beer police was out there forcing people to drink beer styles they don't like from breweries they hate. Oh the horror.

People going out of their way to try the hype beer then bitching about the hype. Does the irony not strike you?

Don't like it? Don't be a hypocrite and feed into it.
