When building a keezer do I need a temperature control or can I just turn dial up on freezer to maintain desired temperature.
Hey there Mike, welcome to BA. I haven't built nor do I have a keezer, but my guess is you'd appreciate the fine tuning and consistent temperature a controller would give you. If you post your question in either the Home Bar forum or the Homebrewing forum someone there should be able to provide some better guidance.
Hello Mike, or perhaps I should say neighbor, welcome to BA. As @riptorn mentioned our other forums cover questions like yours and members who regularly post there are very helpful with their comments. Of course you are welcome to post in the forums generally any question you find interesting.
Welcome to the BA site, Mike. Yeah, the other two forums mentioned above are a better place for your question, but my guess is that a controller is needed because I don't think a freezer's thermostat can be set at any level above freezing. And you certainly don't want frozen beer.
Welcome! I see you've already gotten some good advice over in the Home Bar forum. Cheers, and good luck on your project!
You need a temperature controller and a way to deal with the resulting condensation is chest freezers aren’t designed for higher temps and you will find there is a lot of moisture buildup
