    Hmm, good to know.

Is it the 2 oz. unlimited pour set up for $60?

yup, unlimited pours and last year they had glass sampling cups with the mass brewers guild logo. it's pretty laid back compared to something like extreme beer fest since all the brewers are from MA and most aren't bringing super limited releases. it's a good way to check out some of the breweries in other parts of the state that don't get state-wide distribution or are brewery-only.

I really don't have strong feelings about having to drink X amount of beer for it to be meaningful or reviewable or what have you, but just personally I find it completely impossible to get remotely excited about the notion of unlimited 2 oz pours of anything (well, except Bourbon I guess ).

Guess that's why I'm not festival guy (and not a ticker either). No judgement at all on those who enjoy them. It does sound cool for everything to be so Mass focused.

Looks like a fun brew fest. I wish it wasn't in the city proper, as transportation from Western Mass gets tricky when you've had many unlimited 2 oz pours, lol. Definitely some breweries on the list I'd like to try. Good representation of the state.

It's also really hard to keep track of how much you're drinking.

An Uber shouldn't be too bad from Western MA.

I'm about 2 hours give or take from Boston...might be a long trip with the Uber. We need goddamn east-west rail!

Yup. Out here in the sticks of the Pioneer Valley, thank God! No offense to Boston...they buy most of my farm's produce. Can't hate!

I am going to go out on a limb and assumed that you don't know that 413 is an area code in MA? LOL- not a dig, just find it funny that city folks think western Ma is past I 95 or 495. Rutland, is the geographic center of MA and it might as well be on a different planet than Boston.

Ha, no offense taken. I didn't know that was a MA area code, but I also don't really know MA area codes that well. I think 617 and 781 are about all I've ever known by heart.

To me, Worcester-ish or further is Western, MA. I live in Somerville now, but I grew up on the North Shore.

Probably the furthest West I've been (assuming I'm not traveling to another state and driving through) is Amherst. And now that I'm not visiting buddies in college anymore, why would I ever go out that far?

Is that 50% off up to a certain amount? That's usually how it works with Lyft.

Well, there's this area called the Berkshires that are actually pretty cool. It's funny, growing up in CT, we always considered Western Mass west of Springfield. I guess it's all about perspective.

My understanding is that the demarcation line between Boston and western Mass is the Charles River.

I just always figured if I'm going to drive that far I'll just go to Portland.

That's a much better call if you're looking for a beery time, but not if you're looking for a good hike.

Ha yeah, I'm not really into hiking. There's a reason I've been in Somerville for 10 years.

I love bars, breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, lots of people...
