    Late start for this here forum today - I found a leftover one of these from St. Paddy's day in the fridge this morning - besides sounding like one of the 'jumped the shark' beers (from another thread), it's actually quite good - good local action -

    Another day done, another well deserved train beer.

    Longboard Island Lager by Kona Brewing at 4.6% ABV. I've liked the few beers I've tried from this brewery and this one is no exception. They don't make mind-blowing stuff but sessionable and easy drinking beers. Other than that I'm loving their artwork. Cheers and may you all have a great day.

    Yeah yeah, it's breakfast with the baby. Some things are classics for a reason. This is a coffee beer that happens to age fantastically well.

    Happy Wednesday ba. Easing back into it with Kingsguard, ipa, from LIC Beer Project. Pretty fruit forward with good notes of citrus/stone fruit and rather clean and easy drinking. Decent stuff, but it’s ba score is a tad over-rated in my book.

    Sometimes basic suits the occasion quite well . . .

    Nice golden amber color, white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of caramel and light toffee, some spicy hops but not much.

    Taste is caramel malt up front with a dash of toffee. Hops are spicy, a bit flowery and just enough to balance the malt.

    Got this from the in-laws a long time ago but never got around to try it. Mellow and ordinary, meaning that nothing really sticks out except some tiny vanilla hints. Just a good whisky all round. Again, I'm sorry. I owe you guys some beer updates.
