    My tweaky back is acting up this evening but, armed with my trusty Boulevard Saison Brett, I have resolved to keep the pitiable whimpering to a minimum.

    Some nice person put a picture online. Mine looks a lot like this, but it's a 2012 bottle, No. 7409, and I'm drinking it from a nonic because I'm an uncultured monster.

    Tasted nice and dry with the Madeira very subtlety there, different than the bourbon barrel stouts. Quite a bit of heat, but my tasting partner and I decided we may have been spoiled by the smoothness of Rare. Coffee became VERY pronounced as the beer opened up and warmed a bit.

    finishing off one of the last couple of these guys. I'd say it's drinking pretty good still at ~7 months old, obviously not as good as it was fresh but that's to be expected.

    This years? I drank my last bottle from last year fairly recently and I was shocked by how well the pumpkin flavour hung in there.

    I'm celebrating Celebration, myself. Definitely cardamom- but not that wussy green one, this has got that heavy-ass black cardamom flavor all over it, if anything. 2012's bringin' it!!!

    Yup...this year's. First time I have had it, so cant compare to previous vintages. Although I am sure that this years is not nearly as pumpkiny, chocolately, smooth, rich or creamy as any prior years :wink:
