New brews in NJ (2019)

The ones I got were late Jan-mid feb. all tasted good but get them now and hopefully future batches get here quicker

 

Samne deal with the 18th Street That recently hit here. 2 month+ old

 

And Nightmare. The sole reason I’ve been passing on them all. Edmunds as well.

 

I think the only way to get and expect to get fresh beer is to buy local.

Jack's Abbey/Springdale was at the Great Beer Expo at the Meadowlands. They mentioned doing a soft launch into NJ. More quality lagers is a good thing.

 

Best beer news in a while with JA lagers coming here. They are priced well normally also

 

I've been seeing Springdale in NJ since January, so I thought it was already here- but I guess that's what they meant by 'soft opening'. I do look forward to seeing the JA stuff in greater quantity, though.

 

The Dogfish Head Spirits just hit the market. They're quite good.

 

Any recommendations? I enjoy a gin and tonic every now and then. Maybe I’ll give the gin a try.

 

Both the regular gin and hop gins are good, but like most hop gins YMMV. Rum is really good as is the premade cocktail though that definitely has to be served on ice.

You really can't go wrong unless you get the peanut vodka.

 

Thanks for the heads up on Toppling Goliath, excited to get my hands on it. I checked in my local store and they said they are expecting it in next week. Also as a heads up they mentioned specifically they are getting Pseudo Sue, Pompeii, Golden Nugget and I believe one other that escapes me (though No King Sue yet). Thought I'd share it, obviously it may vary depending on your store, location, and their sales volume.

They also mentioned that they'd be getting restocked on it regularly.

 

Collective arts is on the hunterdon page for next week. They are new right? Had a few of theirs in the past that were pretty good although pretty much full on hazy overload here at this point

@RollTide7 The other TG beer, in addition to the ones you mentioned is Dorothy’s New World Lager, so I’ve been told.
