I really should have saved this berr for last. I don't want to drink anything after it now. This one was just bat shit crazy, and weired, and amazingly unique. I was expecting a bone dry sour ale. No. Absolutely not. This is raspberry jam. This is raspberry fruit juice poured into an oak barrel. This is sugary sweet, tart, organic raspberry purée. I've had a few fruit beera, but none have tasted exactly like a bucket full of smashed (insert fruit here). This was raspberry jam, oak, wild bacteria, and a little kiss of spearmint. Apparently this is not easy to find, either. I have a feeling I'm going to really want this again somewhere down the line, and won't be able to have it.
It's too sweet for an everyday beer, and can become cloying very fast, but man, if this isn't the best fruited dessert beer I've ever tried. Well done sir.
