How much were the older bottles?

2015 was $25, 2016 was $20. To have them so cheap is very out of character for FW.

Man, I am SO glad to hear this. I have a couple of 2016 bottles that a buddy in LA has been meaning to send me for more than two years now (we can't seem to ever quite coordinate the shipment in those windows where it's not too hot or cold for me on the East Coast) and I was afraid they were all but duds now. I'll get on him anew!

Anyone know if 2018 Parabajava is still lingering at Venice? Tried calling, but I think they've stopped answering the phone for the night.

This is great. Didn't you drive to Buellton back in 2016 only to be told all known Parabajava bottles were sold or something like that?

Parabanilla is also available on draft today. This one is definitely worth a pour if you get a chance. Its my favorite Parabola variant so far.

 

I preferred the Maple over the Vanilla but they were both pretty great. I like Parabajava more than both. Coconut Rye is my absolute fave, though. Amazing stuff.

 

Really, coconut rye? I didn’t taste any coconut, I had a draft and bottle pour and then sold my second bottle because it was underwhelming. It was a good beer, but so is regular parabola.

 

I don't think I ever had it on tap, but I had it out of the bottle a couple times and there was PLENTY of coconut flavor. They were selling gift packs of vintage Parabolas and Parabajavas that included a single 12oz bottle of Coconut Rye--$130 for the set--and I had to restrain myself from even considering it just for the one bottle of CR.

So yeah, Coconut Rye, really. YMMV.
