Back at home, finally ready to pop this Orval I picked up earlier. A little later in the day but it is still Orval Day and all.

First pour and yep... that’s Orval alright.

Well, this is a winter ale. Winter is almost over. I have two more to cellar after this goes away, so...sitting on my back deck with the patio heater on!

It appears that @Ocalafox,@@DoctorZombies and myself @scream may have faux pasd (SP) in that we intended to take a pic of us all giving @GreenBayBA an appropriate salute and post it here.

You will just have to appreciate the sentiment my friend !!

We’ve miraculously only lost drops so far. Though we’re now shitfaced and headed toward fist-a-cuffs to what is the correct order of goodness. Thought 2012 and 2014 are consensus best.

Tasting insane as usual, 10 weeks old. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with some biscuity, light caramel/toasted malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Sticky/resinous hops, with a fair amount of balancing bready/grainy malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, never astringent. Super vibrant, juicy, and dank on hops; and extremely drinkable. Amazing classic Columbus, Simcoe, Centennial profile. Will always be a top favorite Ohio IPA, along with Columbus and White Rajah. Will be going back to Ohio next weekend, so will get more.

Sorry it took so long to reply... started the second season of “The OA” on Netflix and have been wrapped up in that. Food is awesome! Restaurant is called Das Schnitzel Haus in Parma. Food-wise, it’s better than The Hofbräuhaus in downtown CLE. Best part is it’s walking distance from my house.

It's bad enough to see all the pics of this beer, then to read one of your reviews makes it that much worse knowing I can't get any of their beer.

Not an Orvalle, but not too shabby. It is drinking very nicely despite it’s abundant availability, cheers!
