Nowadays beer doesn't even taste like beer.

That somehow because I choose to drink, what I perceive as a better tasting beer, that you can judge who I am as a person.
"Just some snooty beer elitist who thinks they know it all".
I just like good beer. It's that simple.

The inevitable "This years release is not as good as last years release" threads that come out right after seasonal releases (looking at you SN Celebration)

That "IPA's are just a fad", and whining about taprooms that dedicate too many lines to IPA's.

Not so much a complaint, but a gripe; when someone on a forum asks for suggestions on where to go in a certain area, and someone chimes in with a suggestion that the OP clearly won't have the means and\or time to get to.

This can release situation. I drive through a major city (Sacramento) on weekdays as I commute. One brewery, New Glory, has their releases on Fridays - great, I can hit it on my way home. Another one, Fieldwork, does their releases on Saturdays - unless it's one of my very favorites, I'm not going to drive back on a special trip just for it. The situation is, why can't these beers be available to last say a week? Come on guys, figure out a way that there aren't pre-sales and a line the day of release and they sell out in just an hour or two. I have enough things going on in my life that I don't need to figure out how all of this is going to fit into my life.

 

1. When people complain that a beer is too malty. What exactly are they trying to say?

2. Also when people call a beer that should be malty a "malt bomb" as a negative. I don't mind if you wanna give Westy 12 a 1 rating, but not because it's too malty. (Which the reviewer said right after claiming it tasted like Budweiser, so refer back to #1)

 

People who make their entire online existence around having touched a tank at a brewery that kicked them out five years ago.

 

I don't have very many complaints. I guess my only one is that sometimes people get too serious about beer and forget to have fun. Its a hobby, life is too short! So cheers to Beer and enjoying it with good friends and family.

ok barrel aging is the shit tho. not even necessarily in bourbon barrels with those heavy black beers. I personally love oak tannins in my beers

Guys in their early 20's in bars that review beers, tasting notes and everything, instead of getting drunk with their friends and hitting on girls. I've seen this phenomenon in person. It was like meeting an alien life form.
