Interesting take on the style, somewhat more bitter than many true German bocks.

A limited release from 3 Sheeps Brewing, Sheboygan WI - “The Wolf” (2018):



Dark brown pour; rocky then fizzy fast pale tan head. Bourbon and sweet caramel malt nose. Sweet caramel malt, lite bourbon, oaky vanilla; chocolate finish. Medium lite, moderate minus carbonation;dry wooden yet silky smooth tongue coating; warming from 13.5%. Overall thin for an Imperial, but like a sneaker wave, dangerous! A tad sweet but otherwise a well balanced high gravity BA stout. Thanks @scream for this tasty breakfast beer!

I’m finishing the last 6 ounces of the beer I cracked last night to cook with. Here’s last nights photo cuz it’s cooler.

 

So, funny story. HA distributes to the Bay Area. But not Colorado. Finally got to try the Capra variant of DDC. Delicious. Me wanty more. At least brought some home.

Finishing last night’s bottle - Pipeworks’ “Coconut Almond Abduction”:

 

Light golden color with substantial white cap and lacing.

Relatively mild aroma of bready malt with a distinctive hit of lemon.

Taste like a solid lager that someone squirted with a bit of lemon juice. For me this lemon touch comes across as bitter and not very bright. That is to say it comes into the room stomping it's muddy boots on the carpet. Otherwise it's a good tasting beer.

 

It's a little after 9am here, so time for my morning coffee.

Happy Tuesday BA.. Starting off with a beer I fell in love with at the nyc brewers guild.. It was a refreshing lager from bissel brother.. Funny enough the rep from bissel told me that their ipas pay the bills but lagers are what they love to drink and now I know why cheers

 

I love the way lagers go down faster than water cheers

 

G'day, all! Getting ready to watch some MLB Baseball, so I went down to the ATM Machine for beer money and picked up some Shitty Lyte Lager. I hope the game doesn't run too long, 'cause I have to get down to the Dept. Of Redundancy Dept. before they close.
