The OP has responded to multiple posts saying he’s actually shipping a 20 ft container and SA is just one item in the container. I thought it was a joke too, thinking the question was regarding shipping only beer.

No I'm the op. It is a legit question. The beer in brasil is ok, don't get me wrong but I'm shipping a 20ft container there with my vacation home things in it and when it gets there I'm not going to have refrigerator space for 25 cases so 5 or 6 seems like enough, just want to know if its worth sending it there or will it be junk when it gets there. I cam get bud there but no way sam.

It continues to amaze me how many experienced BAers believe these pretty regular troll posts. First time poster. Absurd question. I admit it’s comic relief but does it really progress our advocacy ?

Ah, ok, my guess is if your shipping cans you’ll be ok, besides age any thought to the shipping container temps?

Yup, as astutely pointed out in Larry's (@LeRose) post #14:

"A week at 90 F equals a month at 70 F, roughly speaking in terms of reaction rates, so that hypothetically fresh Sam's Summer could have an equivalent age that is substantially greater depending on conditions."

    Cheers!

Some of us prefer to accept folks at face value, until they give us reason to not trust them.

Plus, as the OP of the "Beer Flop House" thread, maybe you shouldn't be throwing stones inside your glass house.

I suppose with a vocabulary such as you have that sarcasm would not be lost on you. Alas, poor @Ahonky , I was incorrect.

Half the fun of travel is trying the local cuisine. Plenty of decent beers in South America. Drink local. Enjoy!

First of all - my glass house is pure Zalto. All Bergundy glasses..... Simon Pearce well represented too...Essex Tulip is life. Flop house? That was a sincere and honest concept... I still believe It can work. Even if it was a goof — it was a helluva lot more inventive than “shipping Sam Summer to Brazil” or “my SNPA bottles are cracked”..no?

I'm not a cellar guy and don't really care one way or the other, but massive upvote on the bolded turn of phrase. You and sweatshirt should co host a podcast.

It's my minimum bar for judging troll threads. If it's not as goofy as flop house it's not a troll.

I have spent a fair amount of time in Brazil for work.

    I recommend sticking to Caipirinhas.

Local beer isn’t great and it’s certainly not worth shipping anything.
