What is your most generous beer gift or extra?

    I just had an awesome first trade with sturgeon83 and got surprised by an extra. The deal was 2 120DH for an AB Noir. I was surprised when I opened the box to see 3 120DH. I just thought that was super cool.

    My best story however was when a couple friends and I went to side project and split a derivation 5. As we were drinking a man sat next to me and we made small talk. He was driving from CO and passing through with some family. He also ordered a derivation. He later asked me if I ever heard of Casey from CO. I haven't really, beside the Colab he did with Cory on Leaner. Well after 15min or so he had to get on the road. He asked us if we wanted the rest of his derivation. I was like "seriously?!" He insisted and we divided up the remanding 1/3 of that $50 750ml bottle. He then told me he would be right back. He came back in and gave me Casey's Brett loves Citra blend 1. I was speechless but managed a thank you and safe travels.

    That was an excellent beer!

    I just got back from a month long trip. I had called a brewery back in June about a beer they had coming out in July. Unfortunately, they don't have a tap room and they can't sell from the brewery. However, the fellow I talked to said that he could give me a bottle, if I could stop by the brewery. Luckily, I was able to go by on the way to our destination for the night, and I had a great talk and tour of the brewing facility. On the way out, he loads me up with 12 bottles of their various beers! As far as beer was concerned, this was probably the best part of my trip.

    I was in Tampa all week for work last December, and I stopped at Cigar City every evening. The bartenders got to know me a bit over that week, you could say. So, on my last day I decided to stop on bye one final time while on the way to the airport, and while there one of the bartenders gifted me a Marshall Zhukov bottle out of the cellar. Was blown away by the gesture.

    I once posted a thread asking for advice on what it might take to get a bottle of 2014 BCBBW as I'd never tried it before, and a guy responded and offered to send me one for free. No strings attached. As if I wasn't blown away enough by that, when the box arrived it had a 2014 and 2013 BW in it. When I messaged him to thank him, he told me to beer it forward some time. So the next trade I did, I sent out a bottle of 2015 Darkness as an extra :slight_smile:

    This is what I love about this community!

    Ive had so man awesome gestures from some great folks...

    Most recently had a generous BA ship me out a MOAS, Helldorado, and a 2013 BA Bigfoot as a congratulatory 1st baby gift/30th birthday gift!
    He implored me not to send anything back..

    lol his time is coming..shortly

    I just sent a 16 Black Note as a extra to a very generous trader, best I have received as a extra is probably a very hazy

    Got a Jester King Amicis Mortis about a year ago from @beergorilla , a 22 oz beer, easily could have not sent it but he did anyways. Thanks again man.

    Last year I gave a friend I hadn't seen in almost 3 years a bottle of Cantillon 50N 4E. I had just come back from living in Italy and had a few bottles.

    For my 2nd trade ever I was looking for 6 specific bombers from the same brewery. Squared up a trade for two of them for part of my FT because the trade partner "couldn't find the other four". At the end I received a 6 bottle shipper with the 6 bombers I wanted. I tried to send a second box but was asked to BIF instead. I hope the receiving end of my 3rd trade enjoyed receiving his ISO x2 + extras. Ever since I try to go the extra mile every time I have a chance and can do it.

    Got a '14 DDBA as an extra in a trade for Rye DDBA..for comparison the dude said..and BB Oro Negro as an extra in another trade..sent both guys a mixed 4 pk of Other Half/Grimm IPAs later on..Beer it Forward

    I received a Trillium Hundred Thousand as an extra for in IP trade. Since I'm in the Chicago are I was very pleased and surprised by it.
