This batch of King Citra might be the easiest drinking one I've had yet too. FW seems dialed in right now. Though for someone that finds their brown ales the best of their offerings for my palate and preferences, I found the milk brown Magilla Vanilla too sweet for my liking.

REALLY hoping the online can presale is here to stay. Though I honestly think they could lower the can limits, enable more people to get cans and actually increase traffic and revenue to the tasting rooms.

Had a pour of King Citra when I picked up my cans, after not having the last couple batches. Still a great single hop DIPA.

Had a fantastic flight at Fieldwork yesterday! I agree, they are really putting out some quality stuff these days. My favorite out of these 6 was King Citra!!!

Left to right: Rasta Sauce, Eastside Motel, King Citra, Strata Tat Tat, Altered Yeast, Orchard Street

Smooth citrus, tropical hoppiness with a sweet dank vibe to it! Beautiful depth and feel...gets creamier and smoother as it warms...love it!

I’m incredibly happy with this batch of pulp and galaxy juice. This galaxy juice reminded me of the first canning run of moonage daydream. So crushable

Had this yesterday in Berkeley. Your description is perfect. Along with Portrait of Bruin, it was a great day!

I haven't been a big fan of Fieldwork, but after yesterday, I will be back more often!

So the 4th Anniversary Sour is up for preorder and I was thinking of trying it since I haven't tried any FW sours but...

Why are they all so freakin alcoholic? That's a turn-off for me, and I haven't pulled the trigger for that reason. Why does anyone need to be drinking an 11.5% sour?

your exactly right, my favorite so far was savage jaw which i thought was high abv at the time of 8.5%, turns out it’s been the lowest lol. they are extremely flavorful, but they need to make some 4-5%ers if they really want to get their sour program off the ground and movin

i aost past for the exact seem reason btw, but grabbing one for a buddy, decided to pull the trigger on one too

Cracked my crowler of Eastside Motel - another incredibly aromatic & juicy DIPA without a bunch of sweetness mucking things up. They're on a terrific run; I'm definitely picking their hazies up first around here.

Yeah, Fieldwork hazies are definitely tops in NorCal in 2019 for me with Moonraker taking a bit of a step back. Cellarmaker, Sante and Alvarado still putting out top notch stuff, with Humble Sea worthy of an honorable mention as well. But this year's batches of Eastside, Pulp, DDH Pulp (new beer of 2019), Galaxy Juice and Sauce, Losers Club 5, St. Thomas, etc are crazy good.

In fact, I'm drinking a DDH Stack on Stacks from Other Half right now after an having an awesome Orchard Street, and I kinda want to drain pour it. Super sweet and not much flavor to speak of.

Granted, I've always been disappointed with Other Half compared with their ratings (possibly because every beer I get seems to be over 8%, and I don't give the high alcohol ratings bump to beers like many other people do, in fact quite the opposite). Still good stuff, but I've only personally rated a beer higher than their untapped rating once - Mosaic daydream (probably not a coincidence it's a 6% beer). Hopefully the other OH beers I received will change the trend, but Triple Citra Daydream at over 4.5 is unlikely lol

I really have to agree that Fieldwork is on a solid run. Got a chance to head out on Friday night and was amazed by how good Pulp, Altered Yeast, King Citra, and Orchard Street were tasting. Not sure what they're doing differently but as someone who is local to the original Fieldwork and has been there since day one, I really appreciate it. This is awesome!

Has Fieldwork released a 100% Nelson IPA? If not, then they’re sleeping.

I don't recall one offhand, but with their single hop track record I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to match the likes of Nelson Baby or Professor's Patent.

Yea, I don't think they have but agree it would be a great idea. Nelson Baby should be encouragement.

    Saint McDole in 2016.

We don't have any Nelson hops under contract at the moment. Very difficult to come by.

I assumed it was a contract issue. I'm unfamiliar with the process of gaining access to these hops, but if a newish brewery like Humble Sea can do it, it's not impossible.

I've always been a huge Fieldwork fan. But the fact they've added online sales AND figured out that Pulp should be available more often just raises them to another level. By my count Saturday will be the 4th can release of Pulp (if you count DDH) already in 2019.

It's like musicians. Give the people a bunch of new and creative stuff on your albums (draft only releases), but at the concerts (can releases) you gotta stick with the hits!
