I've yet to have a single, solitary barrel aged Voodoo stout that's been worth one one hundredth of what their trade values actually demand.

I really don't think Voodoo is any good at executing the style, but their labels, packaging and descriptions get people all worked up anyway.

I've not had Summagick, and will not seek it out, and feel for the people that went overboard the first day that hit the trade boards because they will inevitably be disappointed.

Really, one one hundredth? So you don’t think black magick is with $1-2, that’s an extreme opinion... much more so than “summagick tastes better than handjee”.

Yes it is, but only for now.

Voodoo, with their belief in restricting dark beers to a tap handle or two for only a few months of "stout season" should stick to their 50-75% terrible Belgian-style taplist before more people find out how lackluster their stale wood and cheese flavored ba stouts actually are.

Has anyone actually traded Summagick on Beer Advocate? Not on FaceBook, not somewhere else, not razzled or sold... actually traded on Beer Advocate? I've seen a few listings but no one has posted that anything has closed. It's hard to judge what it will take to acquire Handjee '18 with Summagick (regardless of personal taste preferences) unless someone has traded it.

 

Seems like it's popped up in the last couple weeks - seems like at least 3 VRUs these days from what I've seen.

Where does Tete v15 sit nowadays? Is it still 1:1 with VR, or is above that?

 

Does anyone have any experience with Floodland bottles? I'm looking to trade my '19 Assassin but not sure how many bottles I can pull. Was thinking 3-4, maybe?

 

Preface by I have no fight in this - not a member of floodland, nor have I been successful in purchasing his bottles. The "public" sales sellout very quick.

I think like a lot of breweries, depends what you want from their. I would really think you are looking in the 1 to 2 bottles.

3 floodland bottles(granted some more of floodland desirable bottles) landed a Samuel and would think it would take either 2+ or 3 Assassin '19 to land a samuel
