Amazing as expected. Found another bottle in Ohio last weekend. Flavors of huge caramel, brown sugar, toffee, honey, medium roasted coffee, vanilla, cream, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, roasted nuts, and brown bread; with lighter notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, cherry, apricot, red apple, smoke, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Similar/muted aromas, bit of booze as it warms. Mild herbal, grassy, roasted coffee bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich malts; light slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic/spicy alcohol dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping, light increasing warmth of 15.1%, minimal lingering barrel booze. Perfectly balanced rich malts, fruity/nutty coffee complexity, and bourbon barrel presence/integration; with restrained fruity yeast and balancing earthy hops against sweetness. Just as impressive as the base beer, but less fruity and more rich on the malt/coffee flavors. Wow.

Insane NEDIPA as always. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness, with a touch of increasing lingering bitter dryness. Zero hop astringency. Dangerously drinkable for 9.3%, minimal warming ABV. One of the absolute best in the style I've had, smoothness is unmatched. Pure citrus/tropical fruit juice hop flavors, with a touch of dankness. Never overly sweet/heavy feeling on malts for the ABV; perfectly balanced. Super soft mouthfeel. Old Nation definitely has the best MI NEIPAs. These hold up extremely well over a few months. I prefer them with a bit of time actually, because they get even smoother/silkier. This was a 3 month old batch. They just made it year round this month. Hope Full Earth still comes back though.

This was amazing. Dense oil pour, amazing lasting head retention/thick lacing for the ABV. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, vanilla, cream, bourbon, toasted oak, roasted nuts, biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Similar aromas, slight booze as it warms. Mild herbal, roast, char bitterness; and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and full body; amazingly creamy, silky, velvety, rich malts; light slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter/tannic dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Dangerously smooth, mild increasing warmth of 12.8%, minimal lingering barrel booze. They fucking nailed this as expected. Way more mellowed out on the bitter hop/char character than the base beer from barrel aging. Insanely rich malt complexity, with perfect barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. BA Expo is still the best, but this is world class tier for RIS. Looking forward to the base coming back this year, but I still have some older ones in the cellar. Was able to grab more a few weeks ago.

Fantastic wheat ale! Got a fresh pack last weekend. Flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, light honey malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; great bready/grainy wheat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing bitter dryness. Insanely drinkable and refreshing, with awesome Amarillo hop juiciness and vibrancy. Never pass this up when I see it now, unless Zombie Dust is available.

I prefer my coffee flavors to be no more intense than one might recognize from Guinness. Hence, I don't drink much coffee beer. This one, though is nice and subtle. Maybe bourbon barrel aging the coffee beans muted their strength. Maybe that, combined with aging the resulting beer in bourbon barrels, further tempered their intensity.
I don't know, but Pollyanna's bourbon barrel aged Fun Size with bourbon barrel aged coffee is soft, creamy, nutty, and sublime.

Germany brewed version. Excellent Berliner. Awesome fluffy head retention/soapy lacing for a sour. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, passion fruit, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tang/tartness and light peppery spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat and lactic acid in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing acidic dryness, zero pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing for 4.7%, not overly lactic. Awesomely well rounded Lacto and Huell Melon/Callista hop complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Would get more. I don't care if they sold out, Brewdog is still a respectable brewery that I enjoy often.
