Also will need to heimgeht thsyv
Unfortunately, I was not as lucky as you and won’t be able to share that beer in this BIF, cause I don’t have any :slight_frown:

As for the Whole Leaf Magic, I had one last night, and while I did not fully review it, here are my thoughts:

This beer is an OG American hopped IPA with zero bitterness. I thought some bitterness would’ve elevated it to another level. Golden Promise, oats and wheat make for a super bready, uncooked oatmeal, grainy profile, which I loved. Very soft and creamy body. I loved it.

I’ve read your reviews. You can do the ESB in NBS. Let’s both do it on Sunday. C’mon!

Ahhhhhh, alright! You’ve talked me into it. That’s what I’ll do then.

I’ll just do mine early enough that people forget it by the time you put yours up, so it’s not like following Michael Jackson on stage after the first time he did the moonwalk.

If @AyatollahGold becomes BA Society, he can change his name. "CustomerMan" would certainly be at the top of the list

As someone in the sales field, it never hurts to ask . Worst thing she could do is say 'no' but the best thing...

Pretty sure it isn't just your wife @thebeers . Likely anyone on here with a wife,GF, SO, would echo your sentiments. God knows mine would. Eye rolls, sighs when a skeezy box shows up on the porch, and rhetorical questions like 'don't you have enough beer?' are what makes marriage so wonderful.

    Enjoying this now. @thebeers @TheGent

It’s got a dank, weedy, green, piney nose. The taste has an ever so slightly burnt resin with pine showing back up from the nose; also probably has what I see some people refer to as “cat piss” but I think it’s too clean to call it that. Very well balanced sweetness and a dry, bready background; sticky and thick doughy bread, dried out biscuit and as Anthony put very well, uncooked oatmeal. The mouthfeel is clean with a creaminess to it that I’m noticing comes with most Kane IPAs. (It’s either their recipe, their water treatment, or both. But I love it.)

Thank you Anthony for this one!

@thebeers I, myself, would pick up a pack of this if I was going there. But if those taste notes aren’t what you like, I wouldn’t.

As for the ESB, Anthony has talked me into doing it on Sunday for NBS, which will be an experience for me.
But you should just pick one up anyway and share it with us on Sunday, as well!

    Excellent review, as always!

Not going to lie, although I felt pretty good cause you previously noted that you liked Kane IPA’s,
I had a more difficult time figuring out your IPA preferences, so I still felt like it was a crapshoot.

So, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Side note: Kane commented about the use of whole hops and specifically about their impact on the mouthfeel of this beer, which as you pointed out, is great. I don’t understand the connection but I thought the connection would be interesting to highlight.

Man, I’m such a swinger with IPAs that sometimes I don’t even know what I like. Sometimes I’ll go months without even looking at one, then go on a kick for a little bit and be done again.

But a few things I do know,
    I like dank
    I like creamy
I like pine/resin (as long as it’s not completely burnt, buddy shouldn’t of even passed the bowl resin)
I’m coming to learn what the grassy/green presence is and liking it too.

But this one hit very good with what I like.

    Thanks again!

I’ll have to look up that Kane comment. It’s hard to say they’re a favorite for me, only just now having my 7th beer from them (all IPAs except 1 Belgian style) but they are definitely top 3 for me when it comes to paying attention to what they’re doing and being interested.

Morning everyone! I was going to send out a Ninja box of CA hops. However, I decided to create my 1st LIF.

I'll be a little MIA on this thread April 22nd-May 5th. My wife and I will be roughing it in Grand Cayman celebrating our 20th Anniversary.

    So, 2 part question:
1)how old were we when we got married (we were the same age)?
2)what state were we married in?
and in case of needing a tie-breaker
3)what month were we married (hint, not April or May)

Deadline for guessing, Monday 5pm Pacific.

Sidenote, my Untappd is Snrubnivek1 I probably missed adding some of you. Have a great weekend.
