What’s the one beer...?

I saw the “pick the best beer region” thread and it got me to thinking...

Especially being a “regular” of the WBAYDN thread, what’s the one beer that’s outside of your distribution or brewery that is too far to purchase from that you would want the most?

I hate to add to the supposed haze craze but I see pictures of that Old Nation M-43 and I would have to pick that. Everyone who drinks that in that thread seems to love it and, to me, it’s a visually pleasing beer. I’d also say King Sue by TG, but that may be coming to my area soon. Swish by Bissell Bros would be another but I have been lucky enough to try that before.

    What say you, BA?

I agree with Old Nation stuff. I also had King Sue for the first time the other day and it was very good but a bit more bitter/spicy than expected.

As far as distributed beers go, I'd like Modern Times, maybe, but I honestly had to think about it for a while because there are so many good options in NJ now. Between that and occasional trading, I feel sated.

Sip of Sunshine. I see it posted in WBAYDN all the time. My brother brought me a three pack (he had to try it), after a ski trip in New York. If I could buy that locally, it would always be in my fridge.
Edit: But honestly, between Fat Head’s, Columbus Brewing Company, Jackie O’s and Great Lakes, I don’t get too wound up over beers I can’t get.

Pliny the Elder, I don't trade and don't want to trade, but that's the one I'd like to try.
My gas station sells Sip of Sunshine and I live by the Singlecut brewery so I can't
complain about having access to great brews. I'm sure one of these days I'll get
to CA and get my fill. I also agree with the OP about Old Nation

I'm having a hard time choosing between Barley Brown's Fresh Hop Pallet Jack and Fremont's Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Star. Guess I'll go with the former since hoppy stuff is more my jam (but sadly though its only done once a year).

All three of those beers are pretty good. I can see why you would want to try them. I agree that you should be able to get King Sue sooner than later, and fairly easy. Cheers, brother!

I've been hunting for so long that every time I cross off a long-time want, I end up realizing that it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. I'd rather travel back in time and experience OG Alpine Nelson all over again. Now what was a LARRRGE day.

I still wanna try Great Notion"s Blueberry muffin and Double stack. One of these days. Also got to try Fremont's Head full of Dynamite once thanks to @AgingNerds and it's still probably one the best in my book.

I’ll actually add another, now that I’m thinking about it, I’d like to try Bottle Logic’s Fundamental Observation. See a lot of good things about it and it sounds like something I would like.

I'll add to the list of those above who said Pliny the Elder. I'd like to say Westy 12, but I've never had that one to know whether it should be at the top of my list. I've recently read a couple comments in these forums that Westy is not all that it's cracked up to be, so now I have my doubts about it.

I’m going to have to go with Live Oak Hefeweizen. Was bummed when I still lived in DFW and distro got pulled back. Now I’m even further away in Nashville.

Another vote for Westy 12. Grabbed 2 bricks during their one time distro a few years ago and it was da bomb.

As much as I’d like to say Pliney or something like that, I’ve never tasted it before so I don’t want to pick a beer I’ve never had.

So I’ll say Event Horizon. Had it one on a work trip and would buy more if it made it to TX.
