Westy 12 from n2185, wrapped in foil and labeled "homebrewed rice lager". That was one of my first trades, and it was a pretty amazing surprise.

I vaguely recall a thread in the old forum about someone sending Wooden Hell as an extra. Can't find it on the interwebs, though.

 

Almost forgot, TurdFurgison send me a BA Plead the 5th. I had tried to trade for one of those forever and never landed a single one. Then out of nowhere it shows up as an extra.

Did a big trade with grumpyoldtroll...thought he was more than generous for all the bottles he shipped me...and i looked in the box and found two extras...KBS and Mikkeller CA BGB. Real nice surprise.

Mike kills it every time! He actually has a stash of "extras" that some would call their cellar! Grumpyoldtroll is a hell of a great guy and trader!

 

I've only done a few trades, but 1noa sent me a Dreadnaught and a Ninja v. Unicorn, both of which were super fresh and great.

Just received an '08 Black Albert and '10 Black Ops. Was a bigger trade, but those are some nice extras!

 

See, that's the one drawback of these threads for me, especially as a newer (5x) trader: I don't want the people to think I'm trading with them because I read some thread about how awesome they are. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, though.

Amazing stuff, anyway.

 

I've done two trades so far and in the first I got a BCBS and the second I got a Westy Blonde. So far, so very, very good!

 

Double DBA and a bunch of FW stuff I never asked for but wanted.

I think my favorite extra ever was when Rempo and his wife invited me to their house for dinner when we were doing an IP trade on my way through Indy. That was pretty awesome.

 

Yeah, that dude hit me with a Kentucky Monk as an extra for a very small (4pk for 1x 750ml) IP trade. I was floored by the generosity and thoughtfulness - he had done research to find out that I had sadly missed that release at Jackie O's. My pride was saved by the fact that I had a bunch of other decent beers in the car, one of which I extra'd him, and was able to prevent our beer kindness sword fight from being one-sided. He is a jerk.
