I'm sorry you think that was talking shit. I was making fun of your slogan. There was a psychological study on liars done in the 90s that showed that dishonest people tend to over emphasize that they are honest to build trust saying things like "honestly" or "trust me" that should be implied by anyone with integrity. So I'm highly suspicious of anything like that. You're right, I don't know you and you could be the second coming of George Washington for all I know. I'm sorry that you took that as mean spirited and I wish you even more success with your new endeavor.

My advice: your beer's reputation stands on it's own so it seems to me to be beneath you to come onto a forum to defend yourself from nonsense comments. That being said, if you are coming on here you may as well address everyone else's questions, concerns, comments as well.

    BTW, then who is Sean?

I was able to pick up a four pack of each and drank a can of the Marmalade. I requested an add of Phase Three Brewing for this site, was able to add the beer on Rate Beer and below is the rating I added the following:

4/18/19 (Chicago): Purchased 4/18/19 $14.91 plus tax four pack at Beer on the Wall in Park Ridge. Very hazy orange pour, light white head dissipates quickly leaving thin lacing (4.0). Strong and sweet citrus and hops aroma (4.25). Nice blend of strong dry bitter hops balanced by citrus, harsher than the aroma would dictate. (4.25) Thin texture, fizzy carbonation holds, easy light drinking. (4.0). Overall nice first pour from Phase Three, wish this brewer all the best. (4.25).

About a dozen beer locusts and a dozen interested locals picked up the available beer quickly. Was game night as well (D & D type board games), so the place was much more crowded than usual. I didn't pick up the burn, but then again I like a west coast dryer pour more than a typical sweet hazy, liked this pour and looking forward to trying the other later this weekend. Beer delivered in the back, wheeled out in front, picked clean relatively quickly. Was cool to get the first offerings, won't necessarily be fighting first day crowds for future offerings, but will definitely seek out future offerings and look forward to hitting the new brewpub when they open, hopefully in the next 2 years as noted in initial online info posted.

Hot take: Marmalade is a mild but pleasant NE IPA.

Protocol tastes like one of those 'hoppy pilsners'.

I chased, and frankly I preferred FOMO.

Don't break your back trying to get these.

Yep. It’s a good burn. Gonna taste even better in a week or two (Marmalade)

Protocol was also pretty damn good but didn’t have that same green hop bite. A little sweet and maybe could’ve used a little more hops.(Kinda how I feel about pretty much every HB beer)

Yes, however would anyone think that?

    Oh... right.

Then the rest of your post is apologizing that Shaun is wrongly upset by your trolling because you posit that he is too stupid to understand your high level discussion about marketing concepts rather than take being called “shady as f*ck” at face value. Gaslighting in the “apology”, check.

Then you close by whining about how he’s picking on you by being the only post he’s responded to in the single day since he launched his brand new venture?

As I always mention about you, at least you’re consistent in having no shame and in demonstrating the lowest common denominator around here.

ah, the white knighting has predictably come out in full force.

literally stamping "brewed by honest people" on the can is a direct shot at his former employees. just own it if you're going to be that blatant about it.

shaun admitted to it in his response to wortship, even using the word morality

    anyone who feels to need to stamp "honesty" on a product to remind themselves that a basic societal construct should be a core pillar of their business only reminds me of these types of scenes;

Are we certain the Shaun_phase_three account is actually Shaun? Joined today for the sole purpose (i.e., only has 1 post) of responding to someone bashing him. That plus the fact that it was a busy day for him today just made me question it for a minute.

Not questioning it, but it is weird if historically this same exact Brewer has made 18 posts previously under a different name spanning across 2 breweries(More and RAM). Why change it now?

Also I'm more a shithead than dipshit.

Far from it. I just detest gaslighting and those who employ that technique are the definition of “shady as f*ck.” If anything you are giving Wort a pass for such underhanded behavior.

Business ventures fail or change all the time. That people want to have tabloid-style drama surrounding a brewer’s personality rather than talk about the beer is peak 2019 craft beer.

    Yeah, this thread is...embarrassing.

EDIT: That said, I look forward to getting to try Phase Three brews next time I'm up and visiting family if I'm lucky enough to be around when a drop happens. All the best to P3 and More moving forward.

I have no knowledge or opinion on this one way or another but creating an account on a forum to respond to one critical message is exactly the type of thing that people who "hate drama" do haha. Just cracks me up.

"Oh my god I like, HATE drama."
"Wait, she said WHAT about me? I'll show her what's up!"
