Let's face it, craft beer can be quite an expensive hobby, unfortunately. I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't really find any recent, conclusive poll on the subject. So, I'm kinda curious on how much money is being spend on beer per month on average aroun here. Mind you, I'm talking about total beer spending here, not just bottle purchases, so that includes drinking at bars, trading, etc.

Too much . . . and I bet I spend less than most.

Haha! Shoulda clarified... that’s the policy between me and Mrs. Marley1. I did cast a vote, though.
Edit: during baseball season, it’s much higher, as we have a 15-game season ticket package.

I have Pats season tickets, so between tailgating, in stadium purchases and the rest of the year... I'm not counting.
    I'm offended by this poll.

If we're including bars, $100-$150 easily. Craft beer can be anywhere from $7-10 at bars here in DC.

At least 2 sixteens a night...~$5 per plus the occasional stout or Barleywine release for the cellar. Hmm. That’s $300 to $350. Add in the 7 to 10 winter homebrews and a few nights out w/flights and drafts and I’m officially out of control...

Too damn much some months. This past BCBS season I probably spent over $600 on regular, variants, Prop and Reserve. When Prairie Pirate Bomb comes out, I buy all I can find. Most months are under $150. I have a jones for BA stouts, and they aren't cheap. Now I can add Oskar Blues Bamburana to my hoarding list.

It varies from week to week. I can go several weeks without spending anything. But then, I might also spend a couple hundred in a day. I tried to average when I voted. I figure $20-$40 a week on average.

I think I'm right around $100, but if 'spending' includes what I put out for the missus, well I gotta' double that amount.

Beer for me is like a monthly bill. Cable = 200, Electric = 135, gas = 90, groceries = 300, beer = 150 (on average). Come stout season the beer bill becomes much more hefty.

    2- 4 pks, 22$
    1 sixer 12$
    1 single 9$
    So let's say 43 $a week, for 17 beers a week
    That's just over 2 beers a day.
So then that's 172$ a month for just decent, not top line beer.
I'm at 150 -200, I see a lot more drinking than that here on good old ba. And I'm only in the 12%?. Some people here need to fess up to some more spending on drinking, cause I see the beers your buying and they are not cheap.
Not making fun, just saying 50 to 100 $ a month, 32 % of you. really...

Using 2018 budget numbers, I'm in the 》$500 club. That includes the following:
    • Beer: bottles and bar tabs
    • Wine: Sorry I don't separate this cost, but its a small percentage as I don't drink wine that often anymore, but I still like good bottles.
    • Festival tickets and club events: I go to about 4 or 5 a year
    • Beer Club Memberships: I'm in three and they eat up a big chuck of the budget.

On average, probably $300 per month. Some months I'm way over and others I try to drink what I've collected. Trips to Ohio for Hoof Hearted, to St. Louis for Side Project or trips to Chicago for FFF/MORE/Mikerphone can get expensive. The wife also knows that Cantillon doesn't count against my beer budget

Wait! You actually drink beer? I thought you were just our statistician, historian, and fact checker.

    I'm teasing, of course,
