    Have a nice holiday BA.

2017 is tasting insane! Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, bourbon, nuts, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Mild herbal, roast, char bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body. Very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel. Light slickness, sticky hops, chalky char/roast, oak tannins, and increasing dryness. No cloying, acrid flavors. Mildly increasing warmth of 14.7%, no barrel booze. Dangerously smooth sipping. Wow, this has definitely improved, especially on mouthfeel. Perfectly silky. Glad I still have a few left.

Omnipollo Fatamorgana. This was fantastic. Nice rocky head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy/bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth for 8%, almost refreshing. Great soft feel. Not as amazing as I remember when I first reviewed it 4 years ago, but still delicious. All Citra, Centennial, and CTZ hops. Super juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice bready wheat/oat/malt backbone, and minimal residual sweetness from lingering resin dryness. Delicious spot on NEIPA style. Was the first one I ever had originally.

I woke up feeling Slayer for whatever reason. Actually had a riff playing in my mind so I had to find it.

Fantastic Russian Imperial Stout. Better than I remember, had to rewrite the whole review recently. Amazing creamy lasting head retention the whole glass from the nitro. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, toasted oats, roasted nuts, biscuit, and dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, tobacco, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, piney hops, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery hop; and roast/charred bitterness on the finish. Light carbonation and fairly full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel; light slickness, sticky hops, and chalky char/roast. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming 10.2%. Amazingly rich and well rounded imperial stout malt complexity, balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity English yeast character. Will definitely buy again.

Tasting insane as usual, 12 weeks old. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with some biscuity, light caramel/toasted malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Sticky/resinous hops, with a fair amount of balancing bready/grainy malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, never astringent. Super vibrant, juicy, and dank on hops; and extremely drinkable. Amazing classic Columbus, Simcoe, Centennial profile. Will always be a top favorite Ohio IPA, along with Columbus and White Rajah. Got a fresher pack a couple weeks ago, this was the last from the other one.

Incredible imperial stout. Aromas and flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, banana, coconut, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, molasses, licorice, raisin, cherry, smoke, and herbal hops. Mild herbal/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Slight sticky hop, chalky roast, and bourbon/oak tannins. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness. No cloying/acrid. Dangerously smooth sipping. Mildly increasing warmth of 11%, with no barrel booze. Another easy winner as expected. Perfectly balanced rich malts, flavorings, and bourbon barrel integration. Minimal booze/tannins on barrels. Always buy more than 1 pack every release regardless. Never been disappointed.
