I still think it's pretty unlikely we'd do a reserve club. I could see us someday shipping bottles to people through the mail assuming we could get past some of the legal hurdles, but I don't think we'd do a club for special releases in the future. - Jeff
Looking for advice - If I need to be on the road by 445 on Friday, any rough idea when would be a good time to show up (I assume right at open would mean a fairly long line/wait)? Thanks.
Chances this is still at the brewery in early June in a bottle, or at least on tap? Will be down on vacation then.
No idea, but entirely possible. They've been throwing it on draft and making it available for on-site bottles a lot more in the past few years.
Getting there right at open for this release means that, yes, there will be a nice long line. The good news is that it moves rather quickly relative to the length. (Props to jester King here. They run some of the best, smoothest releases that I’ve ever been to). One of the great things about JK is that you shouldn't feel the need to stand in line for the sake of standing in line. If you’re there Friday, you’ll get your beer. I’d get yourself a few pours of AR, maybe grab a pizza, relax, take in the brewery for what it is, and then grab bottles after the initial rush and line. Couple other notes, rain is in the forecast. Not sure if the masses will still rush Friday, or wait until Saturday to take their chances. There is a cash only line. If you’ve got cash, this is the way to go. You’ll get through the line with your bottles in a flash.
I'll be down there around the same time. Without starting an alternative thread for a simple question: any estimate on when Spon would sell out? Hope is to bring a box of some tasty new brews back in early June.
I don't think Spon will sell out at all. Prices on it are very high, the bottles seem to take a long time to move.
