Tap. From Saturday, didn't have it at WoL. I only grabbed one bottle so I'm going to wait on it and hope it mellows.

I agree with Roll For Initiative, and I personally love cinnamon in stouts. Haven't had El Duende 2019, but I have high hopes that the cinnamon will be balanced(and horchata is my favorite non alcoholic drink). I did try El Duende back in Mid December, enjoyed it. Didn't think the cinnamon was too strong.

I enjoyed the tasting room release in December as well, but this tasted differently than I remembered that. I love horchata too. But if you love cinnamon in your stouts, you may enjoy this more than I did.

Per his IG account, head BL brewer Dylan has left after 4-years. No word about what his next endeavor will be, or who might be taking his place at BL yet. That’s going to hurt a little bit since he was leading the way for (almost?) every release during that timeframe, but I’m interested in seeing what the next head will bring to brew.

Whoa. Not in the know enough to know if this is Evan leaving Noble big, or nah. Anyone have any educated/inside takes?

Any reason for this? My speculation would be a larger salary lured him away and unlikely Green Cheek could pay more than BL.

Not really, just figured they're good at attracting talent in the area. Will be interesting to see where he ends up. Could be more money or maybe just wanted to go do his own thing? Still gives me a little anxiety for Bottle Logic.

I’m GUESSING it’s more along the lines of wanting to start his own thing. Given his success at BL, I’m sure he could find funding/backers fairly easy, sort of like a Derek/Moksa situation (but without the bad break-up). But, that’s purely speculation.

Also, BL likely has around a dozen or so of beers brewed and barreled under Dylan’s watch still aging, so they’ll still be putting out quality stuff while they search for/bring up to speed a new head brewer.

I met him one time, at the FO b2 barrel preview tasting. Good times! Best wishes with his move, regardless for his reasons.

Anyone remember where the previous head brewer left to? He left shortly after the release of FO. Some thought he had the "magic" and that BL would fall apart. Glad that wasn't the case. I figure they'll be just fine, again.

Don't they have another guy who's in charge of the barrel program?

The original BL brewer, Kyle, went on to Taps. Pretty sure he came up with the first FO and pretty much is the reason for starting them on their successful business journey. I don’t think BL would have much going for them if he never brewed that 1st FO.

With the quality non-BA stouts they’ve been banging out in the past few months, I have faith that even with Dylan leaving the rest of the brew team will take charge in a good way, no problem.

This was my favorite beer at WoL last year and it wasn't even close. Coffee and vanilla bomb from what I remember, this will be one of their best for sure if it's anything like the beer I tasted at WoL.

Hi, I'm relatively new to the BL stasis series and am field a trade offer for some of my TG stouts for 1 of each bottle of this year's releases. Is there a schedule somewhere? Does the year run from a certain month to another? Are there beers considered part of this year's schedule that have already been released?

Surprised how much pre-hype there is on this one considering Mikkeler beer doesnt trade worth sh**. My BA Mikkeler beer gets thrown in as extras.

Yeah, El Duende is the first, I think. It's pretty much at least one bottle a month from March to the next March. Sometimes we get more than one bottle, but it's essentially a full calendar year.

All of the stasis releases are online sales through eventbrite. Here is a link to all of the past releases, new ones will be posted there as they come along.
