    Have a nice Saturday BA.

1/2016 batch is tasting awesome! Flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, toffee, peat smoke, brown bread, nuttiness, toasted oak, vanilla, maple syrup, raisin, plum, fig, date, juniper berry, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, peppercorn, clove, and yeast earthiness. Slight molasses. Light-moderate herbal bitterness and pepper yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy, silky, bready malt mouthfeel; lightly slick, sticky, and tannic. Lightly increasing lingering bitter, spicy yeast, tannic oak dryness, never cloying. Dangerously smooth sipping, minimal warmth of 11%. It is aging amazingly for sure. Great blend of Belgian/English yeast complexity, with balanced rich malts and oak presence. I hope they release this again next year. It's been way too long, and I can no longer find it on the shelf(was available for 2+ years anyway). Still have a couple left. Will have to revisit Raison D'Extra in the meantime.

Incredible as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-full bodied, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Amazing classic Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced malt backbone. Not overly sweet or bitter, extremely well balanced. Lightly boozy alcohol, but dangerously easy drinking. Never disappoints. Feels less sweet than last year. Also a lot easier to find when released. Have a few more left to finish off.

[IMG] Pulpy is aTDH juice bomb that drinks bigger than 7%, but when drinking it is so utterly tasty and crushable you can’t stop yourself until you are sadly staring at an empty glass. Cheers all.

Amazing as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness; and fruit tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very smooth and creamy/bready/grainy wheat/oat mouthfeel; light sticky hops and acidity. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tart dryness. Amazing soft spot on mouthfeel for the style. Super drinkable for 6.8%. Super juicy/lightly dank hops with awesome balance of strawberry flavorings. Perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, and not overly sweet/heavy for the style. Can't say I prefer it over the base beer. Equally amazing spot on NEIPA. Hope they package some other variations eventually. Base M-43 is my top most purchased beer right now. Will get another pack of this soon. I already have 2.

This was amazing as usual. Dense pour, great head retention/lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, red apples, brandy, toffee, vanilla, toasted oak, and dark bread; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, leather, and tobacco. Touch of brandy booze in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal/roast bitterness, and brandy/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Light slickness, chalky roast, and brandy/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness; no cloying/acrid flavors. Dangerously smooth, mild increasing warmth of 12%, no barrel booze. Perfectly balanced rich malts and brandy barrel presence/integration. A lot smoother and less bitter/tannic than the first time I reviewed it. Will get again.

Good day BAs! Doing some minor changes in the kitchen to accommodate the new reefer - anyone with carpenter skills could have accomplished it in a day. On the other hand, I'm a wood butcher, so five days and multiple trips to the mega-home building complex later, I should finish just before the new reefer arrives on Tuesday. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

This has been my number 1 wanted beer for a few years and I have to say the reality falls short of the anticipation.

Late start for me...back from big dog walk. A “cold” front moved through and it’s a beautiful low humidity low 70’s morning here. First up - “Double Dunk” by Prairie:

I’m not getting much of anything here...some boozy chocolate cookie with sweet caramel undertone. Would not know this was an “Oreo” stout but for the label. Consumed at 60 degrees. I love Prairie and boozy Imperial Stouts, but, IMO, this one is an overpriced dud...nothing wrong with the beer, but no bang for the buck...Enjoy what’s in your glass you morning/afternoon imbibers - Cheers!

Tasty sauce? Oh my, yes. Worth the 14-hour round trip to get it? Perhaps...need to try all of the brothers of this beer to decide. Even if not, I at least got to see @vabeerguy , so that made the trip worth it :grimacing:

Fantastic NEDIPA from Ascension. Aromas and flavors of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats, light sticky hops, and slight lingering resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 8.2%. Amazing Citra/Mosaic profile as expected. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Nailed it.
