Serious reply: Shouldn’t fff have security or police to do this? Wouldn’t it be cool if they caught and even arrested one person.

At the risk of being shunned for sharing actual facts, here's my take as I've taken the Reggie's bus a couple of times.

I want to say that the first buses left around 8am. I'd usually plan to get there around 7 to make sure I was on those first couple. There'd usually be a few folks there before me and as it got closer to 8, the place would be pretty full and folks would be getting their bands for the subsequent buses. They roll 2 out at a time and roll them throughout the day. Reggies typically runs some sort of a breakfast buffet, too, in case you want to coat the belly with something other than tums.

You're riding an old schoolbus where sharing is encouraged and there will be metal on the radio. They also have someone slinging beers on board in case the beer you have and the beer people were sharing wasn't enough.

The ride back can be a bit hit or miss as the buses start coming/going at slightly different times due to traffic and loading people and people aren't the most orderly at the end of the day, but otherwise its a great option at a great price.

There's usually a music fest going on at the club that day, too, so I've been able to take in some tunes upon return and prior to pouring myself in an uber to head home.

The Eventbrite buses are a great option, too, if you don't mind spending some cash and want a little bit more structure around your day. I will say the Reggie's buses are way more fun to and from the event though.

In years past, today would’ve been DLD...and it’s forecast to rain followed by snow...now THAT would’ve been the worst DLD weather!

Man I don’t know if anything short of an actual hurricane or blizzard could ever top 2016 #neverforget

That was the worst ever. Started out calm and drizzly . Winds and rains picked up every hour . Fucking brutal.

The Dark Matter 5$ mug with refills saved our group that day

Some in our group were chilling in the porta-poties - like their own little apartment within the festival - to get out of the elements for a bit. Simultaneously disgusting and brilliant. 2015 wasn’t much better.

This is probably the most useful post I’ve seen in the past 4 years of DLD threads. Thank you.

    And, you’ve been reported.

2015 DLD started off pretty rough with the rain and cold, but by the end of the fest it was alright. Rain wasn’t around and everyone had already left, leaving the tap lines non existent.

2016 was absolute misery. It started early and the rain just kept intensifying throughout the day. I went through 2 full sets of clothes (was staying at Hampton Inn and changed half way through) but was soaked through both times.

    ‘17 & ‘18 were total paradise compared to ‘15 and ‘16.

I got lucky in 2016. Bought a $20 dollar rain suit from the hunting store that kept me bone dry all day.

Yeah 2014 was just a little cold. 2013 was like 80 and it was amazing. 2012 saw flurries at some points. But the line was the worst part

Outside beer is allowed up to 72oz, but in the past they've stopped allowing beer in after a time, it seems. Is it not allowed on reentry, or is it just after a certain time?

EDIT: Disregard, found this on the site:
Beer can be carried out of the festival grounds in sealed, unopened containers, but you cannot re-enter with beer. You and your belongings are subject to security screening and search upon re-entry to the festival.

Based on my experience last year, whether it's beer in the backpack or open beer in hand, it all depended who I happened to get at the gate. Some were on top of everything, some were completely lax.
