Not disparaging French beers in any way but that would seriously limit my choices.

    Arguably 100 miles=165 kilometers

Hence some French bière de garde up north would be worthy like 3 Monts. Belgium wouldn’t be too far off either.

I live in the same county as Carton Brewing- This town lager is super fresh like the old days when you got it from a drug store- (I am not nearly that old)

Brewers within 100 miles of me make just about the entire range of beer styles except the one I want. Fortunately, stores within that radius do carry traditional lagers.

So, beer from 3000 miles east, imported by a company 3000 miles to the west? *

Hmmm... seems like NJ's right smack in the middle!

    * Distances estimated and rounded off.

A 100 mile radius would cover Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison and Rockford, I guess I'd have a great selection.

There's lots of hi quality breweries in Hampton Roads (Benchtop, Commonwealth, Reaver Beach, New Realm, Smartmouth). I just checked Google Maps and Veil and other Scott's Addition breweries in RVA are 95-6 miles away... so I'm good.

    Sounds like nepotism to me.

Rules are rules, no beer for you.

Oooh, that's like a really bad dream. I think there's only a couple breweries within 100 miles that package beer. I'd be in serious trouble.

Although I live in a small city (~60,000) I'm very fortunate to be surrounded by a wealth of excellent breweries. Within 10 km there is Picaroons who specializes in English-styled ales, Grimross who specializes in "Belgian inspired" ales, Trailway who deals mainly in hop-forward styles, and the list goes on. There are pretty close to ten craft breweries within the city, two craft cideries, and a few additional craft breweries not too far outside the city.

I'm faced with the same quandary. II haven't even touched but a fraction of the beers from Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Winston Salem Charlotte and the fine little saison brewer in the beautiful village of Saxapahaw, Haw River Farmhouse Ales..Not to mention the many fine beers here in Greensboro.

Damn! Central Waters out of reach.
Still gives me all of Madison and burbs, plus New Glarus.
Arena, WI. home of Lake Louie Brewing is 72 miles!
Wrap Speed Scotch Ale - Lake Louie - phenomenal on tap
Hopalicious APA - Ale Asylum - insanely drinkable

Living in Orange County that puts me in the middle of LA and SD, which are both less than 100 miles. Plus, access to all the great breweries super local. While i would drink slightly different beers because I drink a lot of firestone now it wouldn’t put an end or even dent my consumption. Cheers.

I have more than 15 breweries within 25 miles of my house, add all the other Vermont breweries and of I’d say 85%of what I drink is local and dam good. The other 15% is special releases, the occasional trade and or 15pack of founders. Plus whenever I travel I drink and bring back some of their locals.
