Ottakringer G'mischtes from Austria. A combination of clear and dark beer. Just gave it a fast chill in the freezer. Not very special. I like the clear part best.

    Cheers!

Light gold color with small white cap.

Mild aroma of bready malt and slightly spicy hops.

Taste on entry is mild malt and somewhat firm, spicy hops. The hop level is listed at 28 IBU and it shows, clearly outreaching the malt. There is a bit of fruitiness by mid palate yet the whole remains dry. A competent yet unremarkable Blonde Ale.

Clear, golden orange body; fair carbonation but no head. Excellent roasted chili aroma; hot and earthy; peppery. Outstanding pepper taste; oily yet not fiery. Heavy body; slick and oily; mild to moderate chili pepper heat.

Like most chili ales, head presence is just not there. Otherwise, this is a very approachable chili beer, loaded with great chili flavor and warmth. It won't scorch your tongue, but you definitely will note the chili presence. Well worth trying.

    Comparable to a Barleywine.

    Hi

    First beer in along time.
Sinus cold had me down and out.
What's the point of drinking good beer if you can't smell or taste it...

Not a huge fan of Nitro beers.
Think I poured it wrong too...
But at 2 bucks a can for a 10% stout seemed a good deal.
    Still dont like nitro beers...

The orange creamsicle is strong with this one, but nevertheless this is quite an accomplished example of the style with a great balance of sweet, bitter and lightly acidic notes that never feels too sweet. Great mouthfeel and not a hint of the ABV to this as well. I'm not necessarily a huge fan of Milkshake IPAs but found this rather enjoyable.
