    Another from @The-Adjunct-Hippie. This was very good. Great fluffy head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of caramel, milk chocolate, cocoa, medium roast coffee, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of dark fruit, smoke, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Muted aromas, a bit too fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Light herbal, grassy, peppery, roasted coffee bitterness; and acidic tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy, silky, bready malts; light sticky hops, chalky roast, and tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter/tart dryness, no pucker/astringency. Very smooth, minimal warming 6.8%. Getting some Lacto infection for sure, but it didn't take over the beer. Balanced rich malts, vanilla, and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with solid earthy hop presence/balance. Really enjoyable aside from the off flavors. 3.73

    Damn. The more I drink Schwarzbier the more I love it. So clean and easy-drinking, and packed with flavor. This beer is fantastic and almost too good to be true at $6 a four pack!

    Jr. Z just got here, fresh off his last final exam!! USF Graduation is Sunday. He turns 23 on Tuesday. He has a job lined up...his mother and I are so proud...I’m on chicken taco detail (with Jai Alai #2):

    This is something truly special, an Imperial Black IPA aged in Ardbeg Single Malt Scotch barrels. Intoxicating aroma and perfect balance of roasted, caramel malt, peat, leather, licorice and quite piney, citrus hops, with grapefruit standing out. What a fantastic concept anyway! A Single Malt Scotch barrel-aged Black IPA? Never heard of it and executed absolutely beautifully here, proving once again that Buddelship is probably the best German maker of barrel-aged beers.

    Sand City/Great Notion DIPA collab is where my night ends. This has evolved nicely. Nectarine peel, orange rindy marmalade. Soft feel. Delicious. Good night all, time to watch that machine playing Jeopardy.
