Omnipollo Gygax grapefruit tonic gose. This was outstanding. Fantastic fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy red grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, tonic water, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; light citrus peel bitterness, and coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Very creamy/grainy wheat/lactose; some lactic acid, fruit tang, and salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/carbonated dryness; zero puckering. Very flavorful/refreshing, not overly lactic/salty, zero warming 6%. Awesome balance of juicy grapefruit, quinine, coriander, salt, and Lacto complexity; with a great lactose, and pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Spot on stuff as expected of the brewery. 4.18

Yes, I found this as part of the “200 Years In America” 12-pack.

Yes, I realize this may be nearly 2 years old.

Yes, I skipped to the register to pay for the 12er because I knew this was 25% of the 12er, and I think this is spectabulous.

Off tomorrow so why not have another beer? Especially when I still have a few Hill Farmstead in the fridge!

Gumballhead - one of the most underappreciated beers in the midwest. My 2nd favorite beer of theirs next to Zombie Dust. Yes, I like this better than Dark Lord, call me nuts!

My non-beer drinking sister is in Brussels this week for work and damn am I jealous. She's sent me a couple pics of beer lists at the restaurants they've been to and there honestly wasn't anything special on there. She hasn't had much say in where they've been going and unfortunately this conference is going on way out by the airport. But still, damn I'd love to go to Brussels :anguished:

Pulled out a KBS to help quash my day dreams of visiting Cantillon and many other great spots. Cheers!

Fantastic TIPA as expected. Fantastic rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts, some sticky/resinous/rindy hops, and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 11.1%. Feels like Columbus, Citra, Simcoe. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a good sized dark/bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Another amazing TIPA, did not prefer over the regular. Glad I got the 4 pack as expected. Would buy again in Ohio. 4.23
