    Right for noon I am drinking Chouffe. Later today supposed to meet up an old friend for a walk, or a tea if the weather doesn’t allow it.

    My wife has an event to go to tonight, so I have the day off of work. Best thing about that is getting to be home for my daughter’s six birthday. This one’s for her.

    Good morning/afternoon BAs! Today’s eye opener is from @GreenBayBA - perennial artisan ales’ “prodigal” (2019):



    An awesome milk stout. Lactose gives it a silky milky feel. The nose and taste are roast malt and dark chocolate. Cocoa middle. Vanilla beans on backend. Some warmth from the 11.5%. Short roast linger. Nice. Would likely score around 4.25.

    More RV preparation today, and a box of “glassware” to get out to SC. Cheers y’all!

    Good day my BA brethren! Another cool and rainy day here in NW PA. today's New Breakfast Beer is not exactly new but I didn't take time to review it until NOW:



    If you run across one of these, drink it as cold as you can stand.

    BAs, I might have mentioned lately about having to get a basic and routine blood test at the lab.

    Turns out I’m in good health. No diabete and my transaminases (liver) are fine.

    It’s good to hear because when you’re admittedly a « drinker » these things might be worrying.

    Ocansey Memphis Pale Ale

    Clear rich gold color with white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of solid malt and pungent piney hops.

    Hop forward with a strength more of an IPA than Pale Ale. Malt is present more as a carrier for the hops and give the brew some weight. Hops are bright and piney with some lemon peel like citrus elements.
