What beer are you drinking now? #2385

I'm drinking Roasty Boi Stout and wife has Helle's Melon. Hop trellises in background at Little House Brewing.

 

Gonna get as much as I can of this local APA since it supposedly won’t be made again.


This nano(-ish?) local brewery isn’t cycling through many beers quickly, but this has been on a while. Sad if it’s a slow seller since it holds up decently (hops have faded a bit), but I know sales data will trump my insistence to the staff Easy Way Out is their best made beer.

 

I'm glad Smuttynose is still around ....

Hope everyone had a good Thursday. I got contacted by one of the brewers at Brooks today to do a one-off collaboration batch on their 7 BBL system. Should be a lot of fun. I met him randomly at Rustic Leaf last weekend when I was picking up some crowlers. I haven't brewed in a bit over a year, but I haven't forgotten how to do anything. Cleaning out the mash tun should be an experience

Another from @The-Adjunct-Hippie. Massive gusher can, lost a couple ounces. This was very nice. Great fluffy head retention/foamy lacing. Flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, homneydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/carbonated dryness. No hop astringency. Very smooth, pretty refreshing, not aggressive, minimal warming 7.8%. Great Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo & Citra profile. Very vibrant and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hops; with a great balancing pale/wheat malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Very impressive, not sure why it gushed, the can date was 3/18. lol 3.88

I have tried that on 2 occasions and just can’t get into it. Do you know if there is a bottle version not a can? I have noticed canned versions of craft beer have a different taste. Such as Sam Adams ‘76, originally brought out in cans but they have bottles in the multi-pack which I enjoy more. Your thoughts?

Greetings from Southwestern Scotland. I have procured burgers of ham from the Castle of White and good Scottish ale. Unfortunately said ale is not cold yet. So I'll have to settle for this.
