    Have a nice Saturday BA

Amazing batch this year. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roasted coffee, caramel, maple syrup, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, molasses, smoke, char, and herbal hops. A little boozy/muted on aromas. Light-moderate herbal, char, roasted coffee bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full body; with a fantastic smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Light-moderate sticky hops, chalky char/roast, oak tannins, and increasing dryness. Minimal warming 11.7%, zero barrel booze. Dangerously smooth sipping. Perfectly balanced between barrel, malt, and chocolate/coffee flavors. This has some noticeable differences from KBS, but I don't prefer one over the other. Less coconut from barrels, added sappy maple syrup flavors. This year was a bit more charred/bitter/drying, but still spot on stuff. Still on the shelf in many places, will get a couple more.

Realized my photo didn’t post yesterday. I talked about some fantastic beer without a picture or naming it. Here it is.

Amazing as usual. Flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop profile; with a clean pale malt backbone. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA even at 7.7%. Mosaic and Equinox hops are my favorite of all time. They have been changing around the hops every year; but as long as those two stay, I don't care much. Still have a few left, but holding up perfectly well for 6 months old. Will clear them out before Born Again lands.

Good day BAs! It's starting off to be another crappy day (weather-wise) here in NW PA. Fortunately, I've got a decent New Breakfast Beer:

This is a very good Imperial stout – physically appealing, aromatic, tasty, and provides a pleasing oral tactile sensation. Too bad the bourbon and barrel are undetectable.

My sister in law arrived safely from South Carolina and we had lots of fun at dinner last night. The girls had a few drinks and are sleeping in...I’ve taken the dogs on a long warm muggy walk, and have now set up shop in the building’s clubhouse - breakfast coffee today is courtesy of @Number1Framer - Revolution’s “Cafe Deth” a 14.8% BBA Imperial Stout with Coffee (11/9/18):

Amazing coffee stout with plenty of roast coffee, bourbon, oaky vanilla, chocolate and toffee. And my kind of boozy - present, but not in your face. Our monthly bottle share at the pub is this afternoon; hopefully, I’ll log a post/pic or two...Cheers y’all!

5 year revisit. This was excellent. Fantastic lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, pine, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, grassy, peppery hops; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy, silky, bready malts; some sticky hops and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 6.5%. Great balance between rich malts and vanilla flavors; with balancing earthy hops. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Spot on American stout. Just as impressive as I remember. 4.03

Amazing as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness; and fruit tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very smooth and creamy/bready/grainy wheat/oat mouthfeel; light sticky hops and acidity. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tart dryness. Amazing soft spot on mouthfeel for the style. Super drinkable for 6.8%. Super juicy/lightly dank hops with awesome balance of strawberry flavorings. Perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, and not overly sweet/heavy for the style. Can't say I prefer it over the base beer. Equally amazing spot on NEIPA. Hope they package some other variations eventually. Base M-43 is my top most purchased beer right now. Will get another pack of this soon while I can. I already have 3.
