Finally a day when it wasn't raining out, I managed to get the lawn mowed and it's time for a lawnmower beer. Cheers!

 

Chicken tikka masala and a fresh Maine Another One. Monday night could be worse...



Honey, clementine, and white grape notes add some brightness to the rich food. This batch of Another One might be the most I've enjoyed an MBC beer.

This one has a soft open with coffee and mild chocolate, then brings in a smallish burst of coconut water and coconut husk. The nose is of toasted bread crusts and light cacao. Feel is really nice, really makes you want to keep drinking it. Overall a decent and nicely done brown ale. 3.87 out of 5 from me, pretty much in line with the rest of BA. Cheers!

Battle Creek. Mixed up the words from my first post. The first post was A DIPA brewed by Fine Creek. Getting old sucks.

 

Hope everyone had a good Monday. Looking like a slow thread today, maybe some people had a bit of a rough Cinco De Mayo

Excellent fruit wheat. Fantastic lasting rocky head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of lightly tart/tangy red cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, peach, pear, melon, red apple, and light banana/clove yeast; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops; and yeast earthiness. A bit muted aromas. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; fruit tang/tartness; and yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Very creamy, silky, grainy wheat and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spicy dryness; no cloying/astringency. Refreshingly smooth/soft, no warmth of 5.3%. Was expecting more cherry presence, but really loved it. Great balance between juicy cherries, fruity American wheat yeast, and pale/wheat malts; with solid earthy hop presence/balance. Mildly sweet with lingering dryness. Very well made style as expected. 3.96
